Mario's food truck is the absolute BEST around town!!! He always has a smile for everyone, he's super caring and compassionate, and he for sure knows the way to the heart! His food is always served hot and fresh to order. The serving size is generous. The soup he has to offer differs each time on the level of spicyness, which is wonderful because some days, it helps take the chill out of your bones on those horrible, frigid days and other days.. well, it'll put hair on your chest! đ My personal favs are his breakfast tacos (every variety is amazing), the burrito plate (I call it "super sized" with your choice of protein), and the chicken or beef quesadillas with the carmalized grilled onions. OMG, I'm so hungry just thinking about it! Mario is one of the nicest people Ive had the pleasure of meeting since moving to Austin and he's quickly become my go to for food recommendations. Mario, we will see you soon my friend (seriously, probably tomorrow lol...
Read moreAbsolutely blown away! This taco spot redefines what it means to serve authentic flavor. Let me tell you, Iâve always thought quesabirrias were made with beefâbut here, theyâre made with goat, which I learned is how theyâre authentically done. Now, Iâm not into goat at all; in fact, I usually avoid it because I donât like the flavor.
But the owner assured me he puts his heart and soul into crafting the perfect balance of flavors, and wowâhe delivered! The perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth birria paired with the gooey cheese and the crispy-yet-tender tortillas completely changed my mind. And that consommĂ©? Pure magic.
This is hands down my favorite taco spot so far. Itâs not just foodâitâs a culinary experience thatâll leave you craving more. If you think youâve had good quesabirrias, trust me, you havenât until youâve tried these. Believe me,...
Read moreI've been trying to find the best breakfast taco in Austin for a year now, and believe me: After dozens and dozens of tacos, this is it. This is the one.
I've never had a simple egg and bean taco taste like this. They make pillowy and perfectly seasoned eggs. I don't even know how to begin making beans like that. They use awesome chorizo (if you want chorizo in your taco). And they use these smallish tortillas, which just create the perfect filling-to-tortilla ratio. It's just ridiculous.
They're nice too! And a little grumpy :) And sometimes you get a cup of waiting consomé, yum.
Now, I've never had the other food there, but I heard good things, especially about the plates. But also, seriously, if you make that level of breakfast taco, it seems like the other stuff simply has to...
