The Local Outpost — Restaurant in Austin

Hi I came in here on my break. And was very poorly treated by the bartender. I felt like she was judging and discriminating me since walking in. I ordered some food from this tablet. And they had almost no meat in my sandwich. The bartender told me her name was Lilly. I do not recommend going to this establishment or getting drinks from this particular bartender. To come here on my break, which was supposed to be laid back, and get treated this way is completely unprofessional and uncalled for and I do not wish for anyone to have this same negative experience just based off how the person views them. Austin is not about discrimination, it's about treating everyone equal. Which was not how I was treated by the bartender at this establishment. So yourself a favor, go someone else. I like that you can bring food in from other restaurants. They don't have Topo Chico but they do sell a local soda water. I went on a Friday night to meet up with some co-workers. The music from the band was excruciating, and I say this as someone who prefers her music loud. I stepped outside to read my book for a minute until the band went on break, and was approached by a man. Random Guy: What are you reading? Me: I'm reading. RG: I just want to know the title of your book. Me: *I hold the book up and start texting my fiancé inside" EG: obviously trying to come up with a question to keep me there My fiancé arrived quickly and RG shakes his hand. One thing I'll say they are true to their name. Apparently visitors are not welcomed to this local spot, which is sad because it's a phenomenal space & setup. My group & I encountered a rude and inept bartender on 1-17 at roughly 4pm. Didn't believe I was being a difficult customer at all, simply asked what type of beer was available. She couldn't distinguish between lager, pilsner, etc.and seemed frustrated by me asking. I'm not local to Texas and simply wanted to try a local beer to support the small business within the city.
