Rustic tap has always been my go to spot for watching football on Sundays, however; I will never be returning again after my experience there on 11-22-20. Upon arriving around 1pm, it was not very full so we had our own table which was adequately spaced out from other tables and our waitress was very helpful and prompt. Around 3, a gentleman wearing a cow print mask approached us and said "it looks like it's about to rain so we are going to have people sit with you". I responded saying that we were not comfortable with that and declined, to which he scoffed and walked away. 2 minutes later, 3 people came and sat at our table saying there were told to by the gentleman we had just had an encounter with. Our waitress came by and asked if we were comfortable with it considering we had just ordered a drink and we would have to stay for at least another 20 minutes, even after I said no she said "well sorry" and proceeded to do nothing. I asked to speak to a manager who did absolutely nothing except say "I can try to ask them to move", not understanding the concept that we are in midst of a global pandemic and refusing to allow social distancing is hugely irresponsible and not to mention dangerous to the public health. Read moreabsolutely horrible service! the bartender was rude and too busy flirting with her coworkers to do her job. she also put all of my change in the tip jar without asking (more than a 50% tip). My family and I ordered food and were each given a number (the kind you usually set on the table so they know who to bring food to). We were not told that there was a window you had to pick your food up from. The bar was pretty busy so we patiently waited for over an hour before speaking up. When we told them that the bartender didn’t tell us how it worked they just said “sorry about that.” We ended up eating soggy sandwiches and warm salads. When we spoke to the manager he only offered us a partial refund. We ended up telling multiple other people that had been waiting that they needed to go to the window.
Every employee we interacted with was disrespectful and made it obvious they hated their jobs. I am usually very patient with customer service workers because i’ve been one myself since I was 15, but this was just terrible. Went to the upper bar, asked if they have white wine, bartender was great (just before 4pm) - asked which kind, Sauvignon blanc preferred, they have it, great. Went back later, asked for white wine, male bartender said ‘we don’t have wine’. I said ‘I ordered some a little while ago, it was in a can’, he almost immediately got a female colleague to whom I again asked if I could order a Sauvignon blanc can. She very stand offishly said ‘we work here, we know what we have’ and walked off. I said, ‘I just got some from here’, but at that point she and all other bartenders started avoiding me.
