This Torchy’s is small but don’t let that fool you- this place slaps! The service is kind and attentive, the sort of energy you want from a taco spot. If you order tacos and queso, they bring the queso out first to the table which is exactly the right play. (Some locations bring everything out at the same time, but this place does it right) The only thing I can critique is the temperature of the queso is barely warm enough to eat. Not sure why but this is a reoccurring theme with Torchy’s unfortunately. The tacos were STACKED. I mean all the toppings and sauces were bold and filling. Their prices increased to $5 per taco (generally) so I’m glad the portions are keeping up. You still order standing up at the counter with a tip screen, and besides them dropping the food off at your table, there isn’t much “service” that is needed. You are still asked to bus your own table and throw everything away. This is the same “select service” as McDonalds and they don’t ask for tips. Just something to think about! Anyways this location has some new drink flavors, I got the farm berry juice which was really good but I couldn’t drink an entire cup of it. With so many good and cheap taco spots in Austin, I’m not sure I’ll be back here, (unless I get queso to-go) but I’m glad I stopped by and recommend if you haven’t been.

Tacos were mostly okay by my standards. We make tacos all the time and I'm a bit of a food snob. I found my taco little Bland I do wish I ordered it with the nacho cheese sauce (queso) which after I put on from the chips was pretty good. I very much enjoyed the very quaint and fun atmosphere and the staff was extremely friendly which is always a huge Plus. Everything was nice and clean and I love that we could sit outside and enjoy the nice Texas weather. The drink fountain was super cool and I enjoyed the different combinations I was able to try while I was there. Overal a great experience and I would definitely recommend them. My brother says he buys a pint of their hot sauce and eat it in like two sittings so apparently that is also very good.

How do you forget Chips for the queso and chips on a to go order? I tipped and spent $50 on food. I regret all of it. The food tasted worse because of this and I was warned Torchy's is trash and not because they use the word trashy. I'm starting to agree with what I was told and I think this will be my last visit and my queso just ended up in the trash since I didn't want to drink it. I hope this review warns others and I know I should have checked the bag but really the employee handing it off who got my cc tip should be doing their job. No more Torchy's for me and I'll tell others to avoid the brand. Sad how missing chips with queso ruined the entire meal and experience

I, along with some business partners came here for lunch due to us visiting for the week for business conference from out of state. One of the employees working customer service at the register whom informed me his name was Bryce, was very rude to not just one but, two of my business partners. One whom happened to be a woman. She politely asked Mr. Bryce, if we could customize our orders? Being each item on menu was a single order. Bryce then responded in a very condescending and rude tone being he is a male, we didn’t understand his response. He responded and quoted, “ No, you can’t! This isn’t chipotle.” I was astounded he would even utter anything like that and in such a rude manner. Especially, being that we were so happy to try Torchy’s. She politely then informed me of what took place, though I heard and saw for myself. Our other business partners whom was a male intervened to correct him due to us being forth coming and very genuine. My other business partner (whom is a male), didn’t understand the hostility given to us from Bryce. When, we came in with such happiness to try Torchy’s for our first time experience and why he responded to anyone not just women. But, in such an unprofessional manner in general. Not only was it unprofessional! But myself and my business partners were more than elated to take our business to Pinthouse pizza with more than exceptional service & genuity towards all mankind. I am truly disappointed in the lack of customer service given by not only Bryce but the lack of customer service that embodies this company as it should offer it’s absolute best. An for Mr. Bryce to represent Torchy’s. Never will we come to this location and spend our hard earn money with such a distasteful and/or unprofessional representation of Torchy’s...

I wish I could give negative stars. 90minutes for 4 tacos plus HORRIBLE customer service from melody and Ariel. I didn’t even get the tacos. When they told the kitchen I wanted a refund the response was “oh good, okay” yet they were unable to provide someone within another 15minutes to cancel my order.

Getting a refund took another hour. I’ve never heard of waiting to get a refund. They said they would call me back to give me a refund because they were too busy. They never called. I had to return to the establishment to try and get my refund. I was met with more disrespect and it cost me even more time. The employee told the manager they need to call me within three hours but the same employee told me that they would call me within an hour. Poor communication in the chain of command. Poor delivery. Unable to tactfully respond to a grievance.

How does your cashier not know how to reverse an order? How is not communicating to your patrons that your 15-20minute wait would turn into 45, then 55minutes, then 25more minutes in addition?

I haven’t had this bad of customer service since I was in the 90’s. I HATED this experience. It’s unfortunate that this location gives torcheys tacos a bad rap. I frequent torcheys in denver but am reconsidering ever giving money to this establishment anywhere.

I would never recommend this location to anyone. I warn you about being treated like garbage and wasting not only money but time aswell. This place is the absolute worst. Do...

Really enjoyed my lunch here today! Bryce did a fantastic job of being patient and personable while we perused the menu, made the transaction a fun experience, brought the food out to us in a timely fashion, and checked in later to make sure we had everything we needed. Any time I looked around, he was actively cleaning or helping a customer with a smile on his face. If he’s somehow not employee of the month, he sets a high bar.

The tacos themselves were pretty good too. I will definitely come back for the Mr. Orange (salmon taco). I’m actually not huge on fish tacos, but it’s making me want to try more; there’s a surprising amount of flavor packed into the salmon, and the taco as a whole felt balanced in terms of taste. Good portion sizes as well, to where one taco might actually be enough for those with smaller stomachs (neither my friend nor I finished our second tacos).

It’s a smaller location, so eating inside isn’t the most spacious experience, but it’s fine if you’re dining solo or with a friend. Eating outside invited nearby bees and it was a somewhat noisy environment being right next to the road, to where we had to pause the conversation a few times to let louder vehicles pass. Otherwise, it’s a well-maintained location with just enough parking to accommodate its size.

I don’t see myself eating there regularly, but I do plan on adding it to my lunch stops every so often, especially if Bryce is there and/or that level of service is provided in...
