Captain Arthur's — Restaurant in Austintown

Support this place!!! Easiest 5-star rating I've ever given! New name, but same Arthur Treacher's food that I remember, going back 40 years—maybe better now. Fresh, hot and delicious—very friendly staff—clean restaurant. This is a rare opportunity—there were over 800 of these in Ohio in their prime—it's down to just one in Akron and here in Austintown—technically this Captain Arthur's broke away from the corporate chain, but everything I care about is still the same. I would argue it's consistently the best "fast food" fish, clams, shrimp... even fries and hushpuppies I've ever eaten in my life (everything is a solid notch above Long John Silver's), and WE'VE STILL GOT ONE HERE in the Youngstown area! I hope loyal and new customers keep it that way for many more...

The little short redhead lady was not very pleasant,she didn't great when we can in. Her demeanor was cold and very disrespectful she chose not to evaporate clearly on the order that I was asking for since it was my first time being there. it appeared that we were a bother because we didn't understand. Someone else came in that was a regular and I said go ahead sirso I don't hold up the line since I'm still confused on the ordering. She told the gentleman she confused and she don't understand what we want that was very rude I will not come back there for anything again to give that business my money we were very disappointed...

The restaurant is getting a bit of a facelift, so that was great. The food was hot. The lady informed us of am upcoming name change to the restaurant, she didn't say what the new name was. The food is supposed to stay the same. I felt like the fish was a bit fishier tasting than normal and the hush puppies weren't either cooked all the way or they changed the recipe. Love the tarter sauce and fries. Look forward to the unique taste if the Arthur Treacher's taste. I will be back next time I get a...
