When you split a sandwich and the other person says …”Where did this come from because it’s outrageously good?” AND now you clearly want the other half back … well that’s the start of a great review. I have driven by this place for maybe four/five years and the curiosity got to me the other night. Every other deli in the area closes early afternoon but there was Soho Kosher Deli open and it was around 7:30pm. I wanted some soup. There were three options and I wanted a chicken vegetable which was available so I didn’t even entertain the other two. They were both heavier. One was a split pea and the other more on the stew side. The soups were part of a well stocked hot bar. A lot of options there but I honed in on the cold deli counter items … a stuffed cabbage and a stuffed artichoke thing that was better than the cabbage. This is where the sandwich comes in. I was simply checking out (buying my items) and the sandwich making guy “strongly” suggested I try a sandwich. “They’re all great” he said. “Which one you want?” How could I pass that up? So I ordered the brisket on rye as it was listed on the menu board and ate it hot and fresh Thursday night. Here it is Saturday afternoon and boy do I wish I had that other 1/2 to nosh on. My wife too asked me to pick-up another one BUT I need to wait til tomorrow, Sunday! Needless to say, I will be back and I will be trying...
Read moreThank you to whoever is preparing the deli orders for delivery! They’ve messed up my order the past two times that I ordered my usual sandwich. I didn’t get my sandwich but I got a container filled to the top with corned beef. Enough corned beef to make at least 6 of the sandwiches I’ve been ordering. I called to let them know both times because I mean they are basically giving me their meat for free. I gave 1 star because they had terrible customer service when I called to let them know it had happened again. I was told the first time to call back the next time I ordered and let them know how my order went. Photo doesn’t do justice because I already ate half of it. Thanks again for all the free meat on my last two orders. I got my money back since my sandwich wasn’t delivered and got at least 15 pounds of free meat between both deliveries. I call that a win. Still very disappointed, this place is going down hill fast. Their food quality has gotten increasingly bad on all my orders the...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to lower my rating as the new concept they launched is super expensive and no more giving the same Experience of before. It is unreasonable to charge people so much for lunch . It seems they are making everything to make always less people eating kosher . The food is great but the new concept is really very expensive. Also if you get there in 1 or 4 it is better to sit separately and get separate checks as they give you the same 2 pita breads and the same salads if you are 1 or 3 or even 4! Otherwise they charge you more to get more pita . The plates are super expensive.. $35 + tax + tip (mandatory) for a plate of shawarma and $29 for 1 skewers of meat.. up to even $40+ dollars … quite disappointing as the previous concept was really a deli concept .. it is ok to charge more but now it is really making inconvenient to go and spend so much for a lunch there ! By the way the food is good but expect to spend $40-50-60 per...
