Old School Pizza & Wings by Parker's — Restaurant in Avon Lake

The place was packed when I picked up food, so maybe my experience is an exception to the norm, but I was thoroughly UNimpressed by the food.

We got a small bacon cheeseburger pizza - this was actually pretty good. Four stars good, which I consider a very strong rating.

We ordered the "classic butter cheese" pizza, which turned out to not be pizza, but just cheese melted on buttered crust. It would have been a great appetizer, but it was the first thing in the pizza section, so we assumed it was a butter-crust cheese pizza. If it wasn't in the pizza section and it was clear what we were ordering, this could have been a good experience...but that's not what happened. EDIT: Since the owner asked, when you order on doordash and click on the "pizza" category, the "classic butter cheese" is the lfiest item listed under "pizza." I have attached a photo.

We got two PB chocolate banana shakes that were mostly milk - they didn't melt, because they were handed to me as soon as they finished them. The shakes were so bad we threw them out. I don't know if the person making them was new, but they were just terrible.

We got an order of wings that hardly had any sauce on them. Every wing was mostly dry - just another disappointing item, which is too bad because the sauce tasted great. If there had been enough to cover the wings, this would have been a good dish.

Overall there is a lot of potential, but everything was poorly advertised and/or executed and I just cannot recommend...

My grandma and I went in last week and didn't really have a good experience overall. The server rarely came back and forth and when she took our order, we said we wanted both the appetizer and salad out first. My appetizer came without the salad, and I was finished before a server came back our way to let her know we still didn't get it, and she couldn't find it and had to tell the kitchen to make it because they already bumped it without serving it.

The pizza was only good on half of it and the rest was black and burnt, but given how hard it was for us to get a server's attention and how long we had to wait for our order, we didn't bother to tell them the food quality was poor to ask for another one.

Our assigned server was gone for about 15 minutes, and when we told her the salad never was given to us and we had to tell them to check on it, she was dismissive of it.

There were several high top tables filled and we realized they were very busy, but we kind of felt since we were only a party of two, they wanted more bang for their buck and didn't come to the back to our...

If I were to rate based upon last experience, it would be a 1. Yet I am letting overall fairness play a roll. Many visits there past two years. Always liked the place. Not perfect, but worthy to visit regardless. 2nd to last time, young kid messed up everything from start to finish. Instead of complaining, we gave them a huge tip as I am sure it is tough as a teenager starting out. Last visit, within 5 mins after leaving we both were rushing home to the bathroom & hours of using it. (directly related to that visit). I contacted them that night (actually from the bathroom too!). Explained longterm customer, sick from their food, and that we would still eat there, just sick that night. Well, we never went back & that was months now. WHY? Because they gave us a scripted reply saying they would investigate and thanks for our continued support. Then never said anything else. Hmmm, spent a lot of money past couple years, never complained in past even when several times not the best experience. Its a shame. Still great place overall, even though they lost us...
