Big Apple Bagels — Restaurant in Avon

As a previous employee of Big Apple Bagels at the Avon location I do not have words to describe Dave, Annah and Gayle’s hospitality.

I was let go from a previous tech job and the Big Apple Crew gave me back my confidence. Dave, Annah and Gayle could have very easily not hired me..They cut me a huge break and I owe a lot of my success to them. I have tremendous respect for their work ethics.

Not only does the location offer amazing customer service; they also take care of their employees as family all while maintaining a quality and affordable product. The amount of love and effort they put into every bagel, sandwich and smoothie is mind blowing at times if you ever get the honor to see some of the magic behind the scenes.With that being said, it takes an extremely mature and well rounded individual to keep up with and maintain their quality of service, as expected.

I no longer work there, but will always continue to feel like family. I find it hard to go a week or so without going back to see my wonderful big...

Food is great people are friendly. I've only had one slightly bad experience at Big Apple Bagel. I walked in normal day handful of people sitting down eating. I walk up to the counter young girl in back see me acknowledges I am standing there no big deal shes doing something. I stood there for 10 mins before she lazily walks to the counter. I order a pizza bagel which are absolutely amazing, she rolls her eyes at my order. Now I do understand everyone has bad days so I won't hold it against her! So I get my pizza bagel about 5 mins later normal wait no issue. I live less than a mile away so I drive home, open the box nice steamy fresh pizza bagel, I take a bite and all the toppings under the cheese are ice cold. Rather than waste time going back and complaining I just popped it in the over for a few minutes and was good to go. .... thats the only negative thing I can say about this place and its not even that bad!! I will continue to be a repeat...

My husband was just at B.A.B. He bought a breakfast sandwich, a muffin & bagel. The sandwich & muffin were great. My bagel was not. It was burnt! We have NEVER had a problem with their bagels. They've always been delicious. I called to tell them that the bagel was burnt & the worker saw this, still put cream cheese on it & sold it to us. You could clearly see that it was burnt & yet cream cheese was still applied. I was told that "they must have read the order wrong & toasted it twice." I'm not sure if someone that wanted their bagel toasted twice would eat this, it's burnt (black)! I actually took a picture of it to show them, so I would be given the option to replacement it or given our money back. I was just told that "they'd let 'em know." They"re too expensive for B.A.B. to not say they were sorry & it would be remade the right.way. So I just wanted to let others know & tell other customers, "Don't have your bagel(s) toasted twice!"...
