Super good food and consistenly kind staff. We first started going to El Rodeo last year. At that point they had just bought it so there were still things you could tell they were changing and fixing up, for example the fountain. Even so, the food was still good and the bathrooms were clean. Flashforward to last night. Decided to get takeout. The fountain was up and running, the restaurant still has the best decor and the food was as good as ever.
They have the absolute best chips and salsa. I am big on good salsa and there's compares with Texas salsa. Very happy. We order the Texas Parrillas Fajitas. They are fajitas for 2 people for $20. To be real, we order that and our whole family has leftovers (3 people, including a 17 year old teenager). The tamales were really good as well. The best I have tried from Indiana restaurants so far. I am a rice fanatic and I love their rice. I'm not a big fan of refried beans but there's are really good too! Their fried ice cream is also really good. When we got it to-go they didn't want to squish all the toppings so they made a foil dome around so it wasn't squished 😭❤❤. The people were always very kind...
Read moreWow, what an incredible dining experience! El Rodeo is a true gem in the heart of the city. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere that immediately transported us to the streets of Mexico.
The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who guided us through the extensive menu. And the food? Absolutely divine! We devoured the tender and flavorful carne asada, savored the rich and creamy mole, and indulged in the crispiest, most flavorful chiles rellenos we've ever had.
But what truly sets El Rodeo apart is the attention to detail and commitment to authenticity. From the handmade tortillas to the imported Mexican spices, every element is carefully crafted to transport your taste buds to the real Mexico.
Don't even get me started on the margaritas - expertly crafted with fresh lime juice and a hint of sweetness, they're the perfect complement to your meal.
In short, El Rodeo is a must-visit for any Mexican food lover. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this hidden gem is sure to become your new favorite spot. 5 stars, 10/10, would eat here every...
Read moreExperience today was not a good one. I called our order in for the office. They told me it would be about 15 minutes. I go over there and 2 of the 3 orders were done. She told me the quesadilla I ordered she could not find on the menu. I said, could you have told me this 20 minutes ago when I called? I called my coworker to find out what she wanted, then it was another 10 minutes for that. When I paid, my order was $15 and normally its only $10....even my coworkers said theirs were more. A guy walked in while I was waiting and ordered 40 tacos....she tried to charge him over $90 for them, he said he has never paid that much.....she left to go talk to someone and came back....then charged him $70......makes you wonder if they were making up charges as the day went on. There was no compensation for the inconvenience and did not offer the hospital discount they offer us....I had my name tag on clear as day. I was not aware of the discount until I ran in to a hospital employee at the restaurant, by then I had already paid for it all. I will most likely not go back for awhile....if at all. Super...
