Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Avondale

I am embarrassed to admit that I frequent different Dairy Queen locations about 3x a week. I can’t get enough of the Royal New York Chzcake blizzard. I order this without chzcake and extra graham. I placed my order as I usually do and the gal told me that she was going to ring it up differently to save me money. Though it is only about a .60 difference; the difference was the customer service. This young lady went out of her way to save me even .60 cents. Not to mention how amazingly pleasant she was while taking my order and communicating with me at the window. Because I order this special I usually get my blizzard and more times than not my order is incorrect. Because the lobby is closed I just enjoy it the way it comes to prevent another drive thru visit and being “that customer” Tonight was not the usual... my blizzard lacked chzcake (like I wished) and had extra extra graham AND I saved 60 cents!!! This location is a little far from me (we really need a DQ in Tolleson-nudge nudge DQ 😁) but I will from here on out drive the extra distance to visit this location only. I was so impressed with the customer service and especially at the end of the night; to still have a smile plastered on her face while dealing with special order customers (PITA’s is what my grandma calls us) was so nice to see! I work with postmates and I had a horrible experience here tonight. I went to the door and knocked on the door and girl looked at me and she didn’t get the door she continued to talk with her workers. I called the store like it said on the door and I didn’t get an answer until I called the third time. When the guy picked up the phone I told him I was from Postmates and he asked me for a name I told him the name no reply so I told him the number he very rudely told me that I need to give him the name so I gave him the name again. He said he’ll have the food right out I waited for a couple minutes and the same gal came back outside to give me my food and I just didn’t get a very good vibe from anybody I just felt like this place had terrible customer service and I wish I would’ve had a better experience. I felt like nobody wanted to do their job nobody wanted to come get the door for me to even ask me why I was at the door the door clearly states to call the store and when I did I didn’t get an answer that’s why I knocked but if someone came to the door and ask why knocked the situation would’ve been avoided I just wish they had better customer service that’s why I gave...

Do not eat here!

I came to Dairy Queen to order a 5 dollar special and eat it before I go to may appointment. So I started eating my burger and halfway through my burger I started eating my fries. As I was eating my fries I noticed that I was chewing something really hard. I thought that it may have been a over cooked fry. So I took it out of mouth and it was an acrylic nail.

I immediately drove back to dairy Queen and went through the drive through and the manager denied that it was from her store. I asked her why would I deliberately chew on a acrylic nail. She was really rude, accused me of lying, and ask me if I wanted my food remade or if I wanted a refund. I asked for the refund instead.

The nail polish that was on the acrylic nail was also on the managers fingernails. It was only remnants of the nail polish so I'm assuming that she took them off at work, one fell into the fries, I chewed it is, and she denied it to try to see her behind.

I love dairy Queens but I think that I will pass on eating there now.
