Have been going here for years. I think the business was recently sold to a Hispanic couple. Upon walking up to the counter to place my order I'm greeted by a lady I have never seen before with a heavy accent and noticed everyone in the back was Hispanic and speaking Spanish to each other. Didn't really think much of it until I overhear the lady behind the counter talking with one of her friends who came in as customers about what they do not like on the contract for purchasing the business. Still didn't think much of it because I'm a business owner myself and there are pros and cons to being a business owner. However, my biggest concern was if they were going to stay true to the quality and recipes for the food there. My food came out 40 mintues later after there friends (who came in after me) got their food and my food did not have the same taste and temperature that I have been accustomed to from this restaurant for many years. Not sure if they were just having an off day with newly taking over the business or what. As of right now as it sets with my last experience it would be one star. Will be willing to update it after I give them one more shot and I am...
Read moreI've had Gyros in places all over Arizona and this is the pinnacle. I tried them for the first time 2 days ago and then went back again the next night. The service was amazing as I was met by a warming smile at the register. I ordered 2 gyro plates. It came with Greek fries with feta and oregano or a salad. I cheated and had the fries. Lol. Everything was still hot and fresh when I got home. I'll start with the Pita itself. I'm not sure who makes the pita bread or how they prepare it for service but OMG is it amazing. It is the perfect thickness and chew. They have also rid their pitas of that extra flour dust that usually on the outside of pitas. But I digress. The meat is sliced the perfect thickness and is seasoned to perfection. The red onion is sliced ever so thin that it melts as you chew when combined with the finely crumbled feta cheese, tomatoes, and Taziki. Not to mention the delicious and palate cleansing chicken and rice soup (Did I mention the soup is complementary and they have 2 choices?) They also serve beer and wine. So if you're in the area and want an affordable, amazing Greek dining experience, then give this spot a try. You'll be...
Read moreThis is a family run business. From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome by whoever is working. The two brothers are usually the ones I see when I'm in. Always willing to help and answer questions. After you order your food, they give you a bowl where you can help yourself to hot, fresh lentil soup or lemon chicken rice soup while you wait for your order. The gyro sandwich with the greek fries and the drink is my go to order although I occasionally try other things on the menu. For a small fee of I believe .35 you can add Feta cheese to the gyro which I recommend. The greek fries are just fries sprinkled with feta cheese. If you like french fries, you will love them. You get a nice size portion. The gyro also is a nice size. Its got a nice portion of meat as well as tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce. They also offer desserts for those with a sweet tooth. I definately recommend trying out this restaurant and enjoying a hot fresh gyro. Its one of my favorite places to eat. And if you have a Military I.D., be sure to show it because they will honor your service...
