Understanding that there are issues relating to food services due to the "COVID-19" pandemic, I was greatly disappointed with the lack of organization at the food pick-up area at this location. It appears that the staff prioritized food delivery service orders and ignored the online personal orders.
Myself and at least four other patrons, who placed our personal orders for pickup through the IHOP website, did not receive our order. Two hours and three trips inside to talk to staff, we were still being ignored and symply told to leave our phone number and description of our car and we would be called when our order was ready. Yet every time a food delivery driver pushed past any of those of us who were waiting for our personal meal, the staff would drop serving us and take care of the driver.
After more than two hours the staff identified that they could not locate any online order. The staff member expressed that she would reenter the order, but it would take at least twenty to thirty more minutes to get our orders. After a twelve-hour shift at the hospital, and waiting nearly three hours for food, this was not acceptable. Tired from a long night shift and frustrated with pushy drivers, a long wait, and poor service; I asked to have my order canceled. The staff member expressed that they would cancel our orders but they could not give us confirmation.
It appeared that the staff was working hard, but the difficulty that they were experiencing derived from being highly unorganized. This disorganization caused the chaos.
A simple fix could be as simple as separating the pick-up areas. Have all the food delivery people at one door and the walk up, phone in, and online orders at another. Dedicate one staff member to supervise each area. This would allow the each staff member to both confirm and guarantee that when a patron give you a confirmation number, that they ensure the order is confirmed with the food preparation staff. I hope that one of the staff members organizes their crew.

Read moreI went in on Friday morning to this Dysart location & I had the WORST EXPERIENCE I WAS SO UPSET I DROVE 11 miles to this location to end up leaving. I went in with my husband & 2 children, I have a toddler and in infant in a car seat. We get seated at a booth & the host leaves before I can even ask for a swing for my child since she was in a car seat. As we are waiting for our waiter I see this white lady in her late 50s with colored eyes rolling her eyes staring at us at our table. She proceeds to come up to us and says you guys have to move that talking about MY child in her car seat that’s 6months BTW she is not a that my husband asks her ok where do I move her she says on the table something she can’t be there. THE BOOTHS ARE TINY #1 of course we needed to be seated at a table. So I let her know what an inconvenience my 4 year old has ADHD so she’s barley settling in. We proceed to move & she takes our order for our drinks she comes back & my husband asked her if we could have a Sonic menu since that’s really the whole reason we went for my daughter to see the Sonic menu and choose something. She yells we don’t have that and my husband says and what’s that which was clearly a Sonic menu and she yelled that’s a picture and we say ok can we get that picture, she says ugggh and rolls her eyes and turns around. I then say NEVERMIND we don’t appreciate your horrible service she says SORRY very sarcastically and we leave. I find someone like that should not be working in customer service when that’s all she does is be a waitress and should provide great customer service. I am so disappointed. My daughter didn’t even get the experience she anticipated for. I did call to speak with a manager and was not able to speak with...
Read moreTL/DR: Extremely small portions that don't match the menu and bad customer service.
Had a very disappointing visit to IHOP last Saturday night. I ordered the lemon ricotta crepes not as a combo just the crepes with a single side of bacon. When they came I was in shock. The two crepes were so small barely 4 inches long, slightly overcooked and looked nothing like the picture on the menu. They weren't even filled with the ricotta they had a thin layer on the top without the mixed berry topping either just 6 blueberries tossed on the plate. They came on a small side plate not even an entree plate the same size as my bacon plate. Sadly I did not take a picture of those ones. I had never gotten them before so thought maybe this is just how they look even though the menu said completely different. So I ordered something else and chose my long time favorite the Swedish crepes since I was obviously still hungry. I didn't feel better when those came either. While there were four crepes as there should have been they were also drastically smaller then I was used to and also very brown and hard in places. I couldn't even cut them with just my fork even though they were crepes. Those ones I did get a picture of so you can see how small they came. I don't know if this is a new size thing for ihop since inflation or a cook that can't cook crepes right but I would like to know why I spent more then 60 dollars total on a meal with such small proportions that didn't match the menu?? Our waitress also did nothing to help us and we could see the cook in the back working with shoulder length long hair that he did not have in a hairnet only a backwards cap. I won't be going back to IHOP till I know this is better...
