Came through and ordered one small and one large mozzarella sticks, the app was running a promotion until the 27th or 28th of November for a free large drink with a purchase so of course I took advantage of that. The normal restrictions were in place that it doesn’t cover customizations etc, so I was prepared to cover my own customizations and knew I’d be charged for them. Whatever. The discount applied in the cart and reflected accurately, with my customizations being charged to me just like I was expecting them to be, but I was not charged for the large drink itself just like the promotion advertised. But when I got to the actual checkout, it didn’t subtract the drink from the total. It wanted to charge me for the customizations AND the drink. I didn’t order it because quite truthfully screw that, but I figured I’d discuss it with an employee because it wasn’t applying the discount like it was supposed to and I definitely was purchasing something. So I took screenshots of the cart where it initially showed it subtracted from my total with the exception of the customizations I KNEW I would be paying for, was fine with paying for, and then took screenshots at checkout where I was being charged for the full price so I could show the employee because I know that sometimes people are dishonest about things like that and I figured this would eliminate that from the picture. Lol, wrong sis. I asked the carhop who brought our order out and she said she would call her manager because she wouldn’t know what to do with that and that was fine because I’m pretty sure it wasn’t in her jurisdiction anyway. Manager comes out to the car and I take out my phone and tell her I have screenshots I wanted to be able to show and I told her basically what I had written above- that there was a promotion and if you had made a purchase you were eligible for a large free drink, told her I read the fine print and knew I would be charged for any extras, and I showed her the screenshots of the cart where app had deducted the cost of the large drink with the exception of the extras, followed by the screenshot of the checkout where it no longer deduced anything off the total. She asks me “and that’s here?” So I told her yes lol, it’s here, and she said “yeah because here on the receipt it isn’t even showing you ordered the drink” and I told her that she was correct, I did not order it because I was being charged, so I pulled the app up on my phone and went straight to offers & deals and it wasn’t showing up so I panicked a little thinking maybe the app didn’t refresh properly when I was ordering and that was why it wouldn’t apply it at checkout, but I remembered reading that it was available until the 27th or 28th. Today is the 20th. I clicked on the button to start an order and selected the location I was currently at, and went to the deals button after that and lo and behold, the offer pulls up and I showed it to her. She read the fine print (and at this point I imagine she’s looking for anything to make me wrong and her right because that’s the vibe she was putting off from the jump and I knew that as soon as she felt dignified enough to say that the receipt wasn’t even showing the drink being ordered in the first place, I knew this was a case of “I don’t believe you”) and I told her that obviously I knew that I would be paying for my extras on it because it excludes those in the promotion. She basically responded with “well we don’t deal with the app, like I didn’t even know this was here or a promotion we were offering, so I would contact them about it like in their chat or something”…well there isn’t a chat but tysm I’ll do that literally as soon as pigs fly. I’ve received bad service at Sonics multiple times but not anything noteworthy or bothersome enough to sit down and dedicate time to writing a bad review over until tonight. I spent the money, she had the proof in her face. She should’ve and could’ve given me the drink, end of story, but being pretentious was...
Read moreOK, but lack communication and care/ consideration. Tried to pick up an UberEats order here. Workers looked like they were working hard on the orders, which is better than a lot of other Sonics I have been to where workers are just very slow. They were pretty busy but they seemed on top of things.
HOWEVER, not until after I called 3 times and waited about 50 minutes total to pick up an order did they tell me it would be ANOTHER 20-30 minutes for the customer's order because there were about 20 UberEats orders that were made. On the first call, they said they'd bring it out to me. On the second call, which I made around 15-20 minutes later, they told me that they were busy and would bring the order out as soon as they could. That was all. I watched some people sit down, order, enjoy a whole meal, and leave and also several people come in after me and leave before I called the 3rd time. It would've been nice to get some notice upon my arrival that there were many orders ahead of my pickup and a potentially hour-something-long wait instead of just telling me that they would bring it out to me and having me wait 50 minutes, potentially 1 hour and 20 minutes for this customer's order, which is honestly just ridiculous. I don't have to wait that long even for McDonald's, and every McDonald's is SLOW with their drive-thru lines that stretch 10, 12 cars long at times. Knowing that I was there to pick up already, the order should've had priority. No one else had to wait that long and it didn't at all look like that many drivers were coming in and out to pick up. I don't feel like they were being totally honest or integrous because the worker on the third call seemed to have sarcasm and some attitude when I was just checking up for OUR customer, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I just ask that workers please just communicate to the couriers and don't give us a hard time when we're just checking on customers' orders and trying to get orders out. Our customers are first your customers and you should care about the service you...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I visited this location on Sunday 2/16 around 6pm after ordering a med slush online. I pulled in a few minutes after placing my order and I paged a worker to let them know I arrived. I spoke with a woman who later informed me she was the manager but did not provide her name. She said my order was not in their system, I said ok how long do I need to wait, she said she didn't know but would bring my drink when it came in. I waited another 10 minutes, my pick up time was 6:12 I paged back at 6:20 and asked if my order was there. Same woman said no, and that I needed to wait, I told her I ordered online almost 20 minutes prior and that I could not wait much longer, I suggested she come outside and view my receipt with the order number she said no, I asked why she was unable to do that she replied because she can't. At this point I was so annoyed especially because she was saying things like "are you sure your card wasnt declined" "i don't know why you're acting confused what I said was very clear" and I'm sitting there like I literally have my receipt, I'm looking at it, can't you just take the order number and give me my drink and she just kept saying "like I said I'm not doing that" so I asked for the Gm info she said her name is Diana and I could come back at 10am the next day. Which I'm not doing because I don't even live in Avondale. I then asked if she knew how I could get my money back or cancel my order she said "you can look at the app and figure it out I'm sure". The guy next to me was in his truck and when I went to drive away he was like "that was insane" I'm like exactly, this is insane. If I ran this establishment I would be embarrassed if that "manager" was the person representing...
