I appreciate the woman who helped me but at the same time it is not your place to tell me how to discipline MY child my 16 month old went to grab our social security cards multiple times with me telling her no finally I started smacking her hand not hard but gently finally this lady snapped at me and said please dont do that and gave me the meanest look I think I've ever seen it was that look you get when people think your being a bad mother I proceeded to tell her that my daughter knows better I've already told her and the woman looks at me again with that same look and said I dont care dont do that and went back into talking about our case let's just say I held my tears long enough to make it out to the car where I proceeded to break down because this woman made me feel like the biggest piece of s**t out their for disciplining my child let's just say if I HAVE to go back I'll deal with anyone...

I don't have a brand new iPhone my phone is barely working so tell me who do you talk to about your interview when you have no phone?? Everyone is beyond stressed it's embarrassing enough to be there but people who pay into the system should get priority over those who don't? Isn't that why we have this safety net in the first place? I talked to someone at the ombudsman office and he said they don't have the funding to hire more phone reps? They are open from 6AM to 5PM but they stop seeing people anytime after 3 PM. They have advised that it's based on staffing and they could start refusing people for the day at anytime. Bring a lunch and prepare for the wait. Plan to return at least once. Even if you're 1000% sure you have everything you need, prepare to be asked for more documents. Any receptionist questions are redirected to the caseworker, which will cause you to wait several hours. If you can call, then call.
