Unlike the Ayden Hardees of the past, the current condition of service, quality, and cleanliness is well below acceptable. On my last visit I sat in the drive thru for approximately 30 min. I would have left but I was blocked by vehicle in front and behind. Once arriving at the window I was unpleasantly greeted by a young lady who only gave me a price, rolled her eyes, and took my card. I waited at the window for what seemed like another 10 min while 1 working employee slowly moved around what looked like sups that had fallen on the floor. After bagging someone else's order the young lady picked the cups up and placed them back on the stack they pulled from to give to customers at the counter inside. When the young lady finally brought my food to the window I checked the bag for the 1 "special" item I ordered. It was a plain single cheese burger for my son. Upon removing it from the bag the strong smell pickles, mustard, and ketchup was blatantly obvious. I knocked on the window as the young lady inside typed on her cell phone. It seemed to annoy her that I was attempting to get her attention. She opened the window and said "what". I told her the cheese burger was suppose to be plain. Without skipping a beat she said "it is". I handed it to her and said it is not and I want this fixed. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was over there and pointed to a lady that had been standing in the same place the whole time while this massive destruction happened to the business this individual should be running. This is a shame and a let down to long time Ayden residents like myself who grew up going to this location. I can't see it staying in business much longer if this keeps up. Read moreThis was the worst hardees i have ever been to. I have worked at hardees in swansboro nc. An the things i witness today would have not be acceptable where i worked. My family an i stopped at this location for 3 milk shakes it took 30 mins for us to get them. The employees were not wearing gloves while handling food. They were taking selfies by the fry station an watching videos on there cell phones while people were wating for there food an to order. They were haveing personal conversations infront of customer's instead of sending the food out. While makeing our milk shakes she did not wear gloves while scooping out the ice cream she was talking to a coworker about her tattoo on her ring finger an kept saying she wanted a sleeve instead of makeing the milk shakes. We order 2 chocolate and 1 strawberry when she made the 2 chocolate she didnt clean the wand off when she went to mix the strawberry together.also out milk shakes tasted horriable like sour milk.The bathroom was out of order an filthy, the lobby had trash all over the floor drink station was dirty. When finally we advised the employee about the mistake. Her attitude left a lot to be desired. Morning Star LLC the owner operator needs to really review their hiring practice. This Hardee's has always have had issues- the sad reality is I don't think they realize what the requirements are to be in the hospitality industry. Today confirmed the community hearsay. I have given them a chance here and there. Sometimes good. Most time poor. I believe the employees feel like serving the customer is beneath them. Terrible mindset on the employee's part.
