McDonald's — Restaurant in Ayden

I used to eat at this location at least a couple or three or four times a week. But, on Thursday March 3rd, 2022, at about 3:30 in the afternoon, I went in to the inside order counter and ordered one McFlurry with M&M's for my granddaughter, who was with me at that time. The total was $3.41 and I paid with a 20 dollar bill and 41 cents change, which made the amount of my change 17 dollars exactly. Well, I was somewhat distracted, at that time, and it wasn't until about three or four hours later that I opened my wallet and noticed that I didn't have that 17 dollars and I then remembered that, at the time that I paid for my order, the only thing that was handed back to me was the receipt which I immediately handed to my granddaughter. And, I distinctly remember that there wasn't anything other than the receipt handed to me. So, I went back in and told the manager about the situation and this lady said that the mistake must have been made on the earlier shift and I should write down my name and phone number and the daytime manager would give me a call the next morning and let me know if the cash register count was 17 dollars over. I never got any phone call at all. It doesn't take a genius to know that either the cashier who was on that register or the manager pocketed that money on the spot. They could have at least called me and lied to me that they didn't know what happened to my 17 bucks, but, they didn't even have enough courtesy to call like they had promised. Needless to say, if I ever decide to eat at McDonald's again it will be at the location that's 10 minutes further up the road. I won't do business with...

Went to this one after doing labs one day at the doctors. I very seldom go to McDonalds, as it is. But wanted a saugage mcmuffin. The ladies behind the counter were very very nice. But they said they didn't have the muffins out at that time. I hadn't been there in a long time But I seem to remember the last time I was there they said the same thing. I ended up having the biscuit. First....the biscuit couldn't of been more than a inch wide. And the light and fluffy part of it was not there at all! When did they shrink down the biscuits and made the sandwich as nasty as that? I have had them before but not that bad. A few weeks back I had the saugage egg mcmuffin and hash browns at the McDonalds across from the Pitt College in Greenville...It was fantastic! My husband and I were ready to go back the next morning. The sandwich was not a yucky mess and not greasy and it was wonderful! And the muffin was normal size and eggs and saugage were fresh and the hash browns were fresh and wonderful. I went to each Mcdonalds about the same time of day....Ayden's store was AWFUL and GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to check out your employees and the managers in this store. They just don't care, I guess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWFUL and GROSS food and loaded with flies!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what is wrong with McDonalds. No one cares whether they give you a good product or not. I will never recommend or go back to this store! I won't go again. I even had a cold coffee and it didn't taste right either. Everything was gross! The store and McDonalds should be ashamed and the manager FIRED for not running his store like it...

I was charged twice.. I went through drive thru on July 3rd around 10:30pm, it took 5-10 minutes to get order taken, once I reached the board (only 2 other cars in driver thru ahead of me). I ordered, and asked for something I saw on my app, lady told me she needed my drive thru code from my app to purchase that, I gave it to her, she then says she doesn't see the deal (that I'm clearly looking at on my app), so I was like never mind and ordered something else. I got to the first window to pay, $26.45, I gave the lady $30.00 in cash. I watched her use her phone to give me back my change, which should have been $3.55, she gave me $3.30, I didn't say anything and pulled to the 2nd window to get my food. Ok, I wake up on the morning of the 4th and check my card, as I always do, my app says -$26.45 from McDonald's in Ayden. I went to the store and spoke with a manager. She took my name, number and even gave her my exact order and price of order. She went and checked and said she didn't see anything but she would contact the manager from the night before. I eventually had to call her back that afternoon. I was told they didn't have any transactions for that amount from that night and because it said pending on my app to wait until the 5th to see if it went back. I wake up, check app and it was taken. I immediately called the store and was told they don't have any transactions for my card and they can't do anything. I called my bank card and disputed the charges.
