Total satisfaction!!! Can I beat a family-owned restaurant! Much different than those big corporate places. You ask people if they're taken care of financially, and the answers are not always what you want to hear. Small family-owned business usually hear what their employees say. Of course there's an exception to every rule. If you have good employees and you are a good person you take care of their families, you let them go and get their family stuff done without any hassle, financially you want them to feel like they're getting what they deserve, and you let them know how important they are in running a business. It's a two-way street you are nothing without them, and vice versa. I've been on both sides and I understand both sides. From the minute you walk in to Nashoba Pizza, it sold its rickety, it's nostalgic and it's beautiful all in one. I love the uneven floors that Creek, the wait staff is incredibly friendly, patient, and very hard-working. Nashoba Pizza I hope you take care of your people as well as they are taking care of you. The waitress got more than one tip yesterday! She introduced herself but right now I fail to recognize her name. Can't wait to go back. We had 12 people now including youngsters. It's a true Family Restaurant. Big enough that you're not crammed. Our waitress was very quick to accommodate us a party of 12. Without calling in first. We had pizza salad chicken fingers drinks everybody said wow we'll never finish all this food. And we didn't everyone went home with something. The amount of money in comparison to the amount of food that you get is extremely Fair and worth every penny of it. My uncle has been going there for years and he said this place hasn't changed a bit he loved it! He will start to go back periodically now also. You know that when an elderly person enjoys somewhere whether or not it is nostalgic if the food versus the check is acceptable to them they're going back! Again thank you Nashoba Pizza for a wonderful afternoon. Warning warning this is talk to text I am not rereading it I hope there is nothing not acceptable on here apologizing in advance. Just try it you people out there in the Nashoba Valley! S incerely just another...
Read moreI'll start with the positive. The Short Rib Poutine was delicious, I wish we'd just placed an order for 3 of those because the meat was tender and juicy, the fries were crispy, and the cheese curds and gravy were both great. The girl at the counter when I picked up the order was very nice and service was fast. We didn't eat in, but the place did look very nice with a great atmosphere.
Now the negatives. I called at least 6 times before the phone was answered. I wouldn't have minded if it was the weekend or even dinner time, but I was calling before 4pm on a Wednesday so I don't really understand why it took so many tries. If that had been the only problem I wouldn't be writing this review. Two other small gripes before I get to the real problems...unless I missed it there is nowhere on the ordering menu that says the size of the pizzas and there is no option to place a take out order online while selecting to pay cash when you pick the order up. So, the bigger problem was the pizza. I ordered a plain pepperoni and a Ko'ala Moa which was supposed to have fried chicken, sautéed onions, pineapple and a BBQ drizzle. I ordered both pizzas crispy, but apparently to them that means burnt. I mean I like some char, but the entire bottom of the crust was BLACK and made the whole bite taste just burnt and bad. Then on the Ko'ala Moa the chicken was just atrocious. It was like hard dry pieces of a McChicken patty, so tough, so bad. There was no pineapple on the pizza at all and they put the BBQ sauce on the side for some reason. The pizza was so dry and burnt and just hard to eat, we threw most of it away. A real waste of $60.
The whole reason I wanted to eat here is because a coworker gave me a piece of the pizza she had gotten from there and it was really good, so maybe they just had an off night, but it was just so bad it's hard to ignore. Again, the poutine was great which is the only reason I didn't give 2 stars, if all we'd gotten was the pizza we'd have all been hungry because we couldn't even eat it. I'd go back for the poutine and maybe I'll try the pizza again one day, but this was a really...
Read moreReading these reviews, I think we were there on an off day(Sunday late afternoon). There was one waitress to greet, serve inside and out, and get take out orders. So it was understandable when you would ask for something (like a soda refill or the check or what have you) it would take quite some time for her to get to it (and sometimes need a reminder). We were the only table seated inside, there was one outside we saw on our way in, a few folks at the bar; yet it took 45 minutes for an order of chicken tenders as an app. There were a fair amount of them in the order, which was good as it is $15 for the app, but they were burnt/over fried (very dark, ends hard and hard to eat). The sauce helped some, but it took so long to get them, we didn't want to send them back. We just went with it as our son was hungry and couldn't wait much longer so we gave him the middles and we ate the ends. Then it took another 15 minutes to get the pizza. The pizza was cooked well and I liked the "no end crust" concept. We took a peak at the desserts (my son LOVES ice cream), but I couldn't rationalize spending $9.00 on a scoop of ice cream with a drizzle of syrup. In my opinion the whole menu is priced quite high for bar food. As a family we probably eat out at a restaurant once a week and get take out once a week. We are well aware of the increased cost of food across the board. But I could go down the street to Tiny's or Markoh's on Main or Brookside Grill and get delicious food at a better value with more consistent service. To spend $50 on one 13" pizza, one order of chicken tenders, a soda, and a milk...
