I never write reviews for anyone because I know first hand how fast food businesses are stressful and very fast paced, but this is an exception because I was treated with so much disrespect and directly from the store manager. I order from this location specifically even though I have closer locations to where I live because I always received good service here. Good Service starts with a proper greeting to your customers. Never would I have thought that a Store Manager would say “You again?” with such a foul tone. I tried to brush it off as I hate escalating any issues as its just not worth it. I order here all the time with my coworkers and I always pick up the food for them. I make sure to have the proper names of the orders so I can have a seamless pick up when arriving. I never have had issues picking up but recently it seems this location has been dealing with orders being stolen. It is completely understandable that they are on edge about people picking up orders, but it is not okay to accuse someone of taking someone else’s order on purpose. The store manager tells me that the last time I picked up food for my coworkers, I took someone else’s order. She proceeds to say that if I just gave her the confirmation number this wouldn’t have happened. Confirmation numbers are not a thing for people who place orders online regularly. That is only for delivery driver orders like Uber. The emails customers receive when they place an order online, specifically states to give your name when you pick up. That day I gave her the Full Names of the orders as a COURTESY, because I understand they are just trying to do their job. Instead I am being blamed for stealing someone else’s order and mistreated for doing what I was asked to do. She (The store Manager) decides to pull out her phone and show me a group chat of managers or corporate and shows me a picture of the order that was wrongly taken. The name did not even match the order I was picking up. It was someone else’s name completely. I looked in awe as the manager literally showed me a whole different receipt. I told her that if I saw that name on that bag, I would’ve given it right back because I do not want someone else’s order. All the orders I had picked up had the proper name and receipts. If I actually received the wrong order then that is not my responsibility. My order had my boss’s FULL name and the order she tried to show me was a name I’ve never even heard of. If I received the wrong order because the wrong receipt was on the bag, then that is not my fault. It is solely the responsibility of the team especially the store manager and it is is not okay to just make someone feel bad or guilty for something they didn’t even do. I ended up showing the manager the emails of each person that ordered. All of them only had the names and the manager knows that what they have done is clearly wrong. As much as I love the food there and the people, it really will take a lot for me to ever go there again. The fact she said “You again?” will forever be one of the worst phrases of customer service I’ve ever heard. Thank you...
Read moreI decided I wanted chicken. But I had ordered so much from KFC lately I decided I needed a change. And I have heard good things about Popeyes from friends before. So, I decided, why not order from them? So I went online and found out I could order from many delivery services. One was Doordash and one was Grubhub. As I trust Grubhub a little more I ordered from them. But I noticed that Doordash's delivery fee was smaller and while they still added to the menu prices, like 30 or 40 cents per items, it wasn't that pricey. As I wasn't ordering a lot, in hindsight, ordering from Doordash MIGHT have been a better idea. But let's move on with the review on POPEYES ordered via Grubhub. I ordered a 3 piece Chicken Dinner (Spicy) with Red Beans and Rice, a Biscuit, and a large Diet Coke. It got to me on time, after they did the change-the-ETA thing, and the driver was not only very polite but warned me about the lid on the drink. It was cracked in two places and he suggested that Popeyes was using cheap plastic in their lids. I thanked him for the warning. The Diet Coke was cold, the somewhat small Biscuit was salty as heck, the Chicken Dinner (a leg, a thigh, and a wing) was meant to be spicy but I only detected spice on the thigh. It was the GOOD level of spice - just adding enough heat without covering the taste - but it was only added to one piece. And the Red Bean and Rice seemed to be mostly red sauce with some rice and, to be honest, invisible beans. Because I don't think I found any. Or I failed to taste them. I even took a photo and can't tell if it had beans or not. It felt like I was eating watered down soup. Over all, for what I got, for how disappointing it was, and for what it cost I should have gone with KFC and ended up with a much better meal. Update - Ordered via Grubhub because there was a deal. Why else would I order from them? And they got the order right. Kind of? The Spicy Chicken Sandwich was good. The Cajun Fries and Coleslaw was good. The Chicken Tenders were...sad and the Biscuit was salty. But the Diet Coke was cold and at least they know what Sweet Tea is. Unlike McD's which seems to think sweet tea is weak soda. But Popeyes forgot all the sauces I asked for. So maybe add a star to make the total three? Still not impressed and wonder how this location is still in business. Update - 9/30/2021 - Why do I keep ordering from this place. Long story short - ordered directly from Popeyes, thought it would be cheaper. And for the amount of food I ordered it did look cheaper. Spoiler - their own drivers are Doordash. Both the tracker and the text messages were wrong about the ETA - driver got here late. But said the location was busy. And I believe her. That's why the chicken sandwich was spicy - I didn't order spicy, the sweet tea was unsweetened, the fries were cold, and in the biscuits was one biscuit. So not only did it cost too much, as items were missing or wrong, but it took longer...
Read moreI placed an order using the official Popeyes App (not a third-party service) and provided my code at the drive-thru, as I’ve done many times before. However, the manager incorrectly claimed the app was a third-party vendor and refused to honor my order. I tried to explain at the window, but she repeatedly dismissed me and insisted I had to pay.
When I finally received my food, I noticed that instead of the 14-piece tender meal with the app discount ($28), I was charged for the 12-piece combo platter, costing over $50—a major price difference. The tenders were small, dry, mostly breading, and cut in half, making it feel like I got even fewer pieces than expected. On top of that, I was never given a receipt, making it even harder to dispute the charge.
I went inside to address this, and while the manager did acknowledge the issue and had the kitchen remake my tenders, the entire process took over 40 minutes. This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience.
This situation resulted in overcharging, incorrect order fulfillment, poor food quality, excessive wait time, and failure to provide a receipt—all serious issues that should be addressed. If a customer service representative sees this, I would appreciate follow-up regarding a refund or compensation for the inconvenience.
I will be recording my next visit to see if conditions have improved. If I experience the same issues again, I will personally provide footage to Popeyes corporate or anyone willing to address this, and I may even share it publicly so that others are aware of the service at this location. I sincerely hope management takes the necessary...
