Important to note - This was my first absolutely AWFUL experience here, but it was poor enough we likely will not return for awhile. While our Waitress was pleasant, we were really the ones waiting. We entered the restaurant at approximately 5:45 on a Thursday evening. Plenty of open seats, not too busy, and it looks like at least 3 waitresses working in the floor. Myself and my 3 kids (9, 5, and an infant) took a seat. We sat for 10 minutes without being acknowledged, so we moved to a different, more visible seat. The table was dirty (although cleared) and I asked the waitress if she would wipe it down again. She said sure, but never did. Fine - moving on, not a huge deal, I wiped it down with a paper towel. She took our drink order, came back 10 minutes later and then ran away. We already knew what we wanted to order, but it's not absurd to expect to not order immediately when your drinks are received. After we received our drinks, a table came in and sat next to us. Our waitress returned to take our orders. As it had already been approximately 20 minutes since we received our drinks (and 30 minutes since we ordered them) my kids drinks were empty, and they requested a refill. They were told "Sure!" We placed our order. We ordered a basket of cheese fries (appetizer) Chicken Nachos (my dinner) 1 adult burger meal, and 1 kids burger meal. Our waitress leaves. A food runner tries to deliver to us an appetizer for the table next to us - the ones who arrived 20 minutes after us. 20 minutes later, 2 kids burgers arrive at the table. When we pointed out that we had ordered 1 kids burger and 1 adult burger, I asked my son if he wanted to wait for the correct burger, or if he was okay with just the kids burger, the waitress said "Hey, just keep that one and I'll get the right order in now. Two burgers tonight!" Great. Sounds good! Can we also get those drink refills for the kids? Sure! (2nd time asking.) But where is my food? At this point I have given up on eating. We have been in the restaurant for over an hour, and there is absolutely no food for me at the table, even though an appetizer had been ordered, and my kids food had arrived 15 minutes prior. My food shows up. My kids are done eating. They still have no drink. She apologizes for the wait on my sons burger. We ask again for refills. 20 minutes later, and she's standing at the bar on her phone talking to someone. I grab my kids drinks and I walk to the bar and ask her if she can go ahead and fill them when she gets a second. "Sure! Sorry - doing 4 jobs tonight." 10 minutes later and my kids drinks arrive. The people at the next table finish their meals and leave. She asks if I want a refill. I say no thank you, just the bill. My son's burger hasn't arrived at this point, but we're all ready to cut our losses and skedaddle. The check arrives. We were charged for my nachos, and 3 (3?!) Kids burgers. We wait for 10 minutes for the waitress to return to grab the check so I can point out the issue. "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought I took that off. I had to enter it that way to get the burger remade." Okay fine. Please fix it. She leaves again for at least another 10 minutes, just to drop the SAME CHECK BACK OFF. I wait 5 more minutes while another table next to us that came in after us finishes and leaves. I point out that this is the same check. "No, it isn't. There's a discount on there." No, there's not, this is the exact same total as before." She leaves. A food runner tries to bring us a kids burger. "No." "No?" "No." Because at this point I've been dining alone with 3 kids by myself for 2 hours. I'm exhausted. I want to go home. I don't want a burger. I want wings from Zaxbys. I don't want a burger. Bill comes. Bill has removed 50% from one kids burger. I pay. Because at this point, I would have paid far more than the $3.50 that I was overcharged to get out of this restaurant. Also our waitress was the manager on duty, so who was I supposed to say anything to? Kids were great though, so I guess it was a good lesson...
Read moreWhen I first arrived I found the restaurant to be a beautiful atmosphere but then the waitress came and everything changed she was extremely unprofessional, unaccommodating and very rude she brought our food out and my pizza was completely uncooked in the center and completely soggy. We arrived at the restaurant around 5:15 p.m.. We ordered two beers and when our food arrived we ordered 2 more beers. Never once did the waitress return to our table I had to get up on my table and take my soggy pizza to her and tell her that the pizza was not cooked properly she apologized and that was it. Well the fact that I had to pay for a pizza that I did not eat upset me. I went back to my table and after thinking about it I returned to her and asked her to remove it from my bill. I then told her kindly that she should have done that in the first place because my food was not prepared properly. She then told me that I would have to wait with a bad attitude so I waited and waited. She was completely unprofessional and when I asked to speak to the manager I was told by the staff that she was the acting manager on this shift. When she brought us the bill she charged us two different prices for our beer and told us that the second beer was after happy hour which was absolutely not true. This manager has no concept of business nor how to build a business or run one perhaps maybe the owners don't know how to hire the proper people to run their business we then told her that we each needed separate checks again we waited and waited and waited up to the point where I had to get up from the table and approached the register to pay for it myself k then her if she would please return to the table so that the gentleman can pay for his bill she then told us she was too busy and keep in mind the restaurant was nowhere near busy she was just extremely rude the atmosphere was very nice but the waitress and the food quality was very poor I would rate the staff a - 5 I would not recommend anyone come eat here. The name of this...
Read moreInside is clean, staff excellent and courteous. Food was mediocre at best. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich, hubs had the Dubliner plate. My sandwich was extremely dry, not enough cheese to be called a philly cheese steak. John said his was alright, nothing spectacular, what was supposed to have been a sirloin steak served on a bed of mashed potatoes was actually a hamburger steak covered in gravy... you'd have to be blind to not see it. We were from out of town and wanted a hot meal (which we got) and to be able to watch the Gaspirilla Bowl game & we did. To the owner who responded: Thank you do much for replying to my review, most businesses don't even bother. We did have exceptionally good service and enjoyed the friendliness of the server. In response to the wrong order being put in, I think the kitchen staff may have made shortcuts. Dubliner was ordered and what came on the plate was a hamburger steak covered in gravy(brown) served sitting on top of a bed of mashed potatoes with a large serving of broccoli. Our server was excellent, so while I do thank you for your input, I'm disagreeing with it being put in wrong, the restaurant was kind of busy and the server was on top of her game and until my husband actually tried to take a bite, that was when it was noticed. As a previous server myself, she...
