Went by today with my kids. I see people are giving bad reviews but wow are you all serious it’s literally a new place with new everything. The entitlement, lol. Anyway, yes it does take a while, we got there around 4 and it was okay in traffic and it started picking up around 5. I was really appreciative that the cashier was patient with me being indecisive and picking for my kids who were also indecisive. I also got suggestions for them. My drinks took about 15-20 minutes to be done which it was a little unusual but again, I’m giving them grace since they look like a lot of them are training. When I did get my drink, one of them was wrong and they had no problem replacing it super quick. The prices are a little on the higher side but honestly it was a nice time and I didn’t even feel like I was in the middle of the east side on Niles of all streets haha. It’s okay I’ve lived nearby my whole life so I’m loving to finally have something nice here in the east side. I’m really rooting for them and with perseverance I hope they catch up to the expectations of what people are mostly complaining about. Also, it’s not too big inside with small amount of sitting, so really think of the time to go. For us between 3:30 and 4:30 was perfect. I then ordered a turkey torta which was served on a little tablet, super cute. My kids made a little bit of a mess with the crumbs of the concha’s, and the staff were on it when I was apologizing and they were so kind about it to not worry. Give them a try, it really felt like a Mexican Starbucks but...
Read moreVery cute place with friendly staff. The menu is simple and attractive at first sight and the system of ordering up front is great! The torta is really good and so are the chilaquiles verdes. Just three suggestions that don’t jeopardize my review at all. One: maybe change the wording of the background at the swings to something more restaurant appealing or appropriate. Second: maybe offer the chilaquiles in a plate if it’s dine in to avoid over sogginess of the chilaquiles just because they are pron to get soggy all ready. The box they come in is very aqueduct for ToGo orders but not as much for dine in I feel. Third: the hot drink cup lids are not as reliable as they should be, especially for hot drinks. Not sure why, we want to say it was the cup or lid that just lost its sturdiness and cause the lid to not apply correctly leaving room for spill even after we tried to press the lid on right. The drink had to be consumed without a lid.
I will still support and come back regardless, just keeping the previous in mind and be understanding knowing this is one of the first coffee places to open on this side of town. I do look forward to bring my family, I’m sure they’ll like this place as well.
And btw, thank you for providing great service and a nice setting with a menu where the community can enjoy and socialize in reunion of their...
Read moreGrand opening today ! Very clean and popular location from what it seems . We waited about 15 mins for our drinks . Cashier was very friendly but employees making the coffee seem to either have a miscommunication barrier or overwhelmed by how many customers attended today. I purchased a tumbler, one concha muffin, and two large drinks ( one with a photo ) . I got charged $39.50 . Lady with a cap maybe the manager in the back got an attitude with me about how there was a misunderstanding on how they charge for a photo on the coffee after I had already paid and mentioned next time there would be additional charges and mentioned how they are still training there employees . The cashier had told me they could do pictures on an iced coffee but I guess it’s only the hot coffee . When I received my drinks she put the picture on the wrong drink and gave me one small and one large coffee . I understand opening days can me overwhelming but don’t catch an attitude with a paying customer. Especially when you only have one cashier taking orders and you have not properly trained your staff . Other than that the location is well detailed with beautiful painting and a swing to take photos . Also they did not have all items available and have a drive thru .Forgot to mention one of the iced lattes was a horchata matcha and we got a...
