La Fonda Taqueria Y Mariscos — Restaurant in California

Absolute hidden diamond in the rough. Very small unassuming taqueria on Niles East Bakersfield. When you walk inside you will see many tables filled with people eating with thier families a bright easy to read menu hangs over the order counter featuring breakfast items traditional entrees such as tacos, burritos, torta, menudo etc what really impressed me was the fajitas shrimp Diablo and even fresh raw oyser on the menu. Feeling adventurous I got shrimp tacos, fish tacos, carne fries chili Verde burrito and a half dozen raw Oysters for myself and my husband. I CANNOT say anything bad about this place the food is amazing the seafood is out of this world oysters are fresh and plump just delicious they staff is friendly and everything is very clean. I wish i can give them a negative 2 on the rating...the cashier was rude and argumentative, confrontational to some point. We got there at 7:45pm, they close at 8pm, we didnt know that, we ordered, and right before we pay she says: "we close at 8 so you guys have 15 minutes to eat", we tought we could eat and stay there while they close, but no, she says "you have to pay, get your food and leave". There is ways to send the message if you are a polite person of course, but if you werent educated properly at home, that little task is going to be rocket science.
