Love Sushi — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I've been a fan of this place since it opened. I still am, but after todays service I'm staying away. Just like any other restaurant that opens up strong and then fades away. Same story here. The lack of detail is very disappointing. Ordered for pick up 30 mins in advance. I got there and still waited at the door for 10 min then they finally acknowledged the crowd building up blocking the entrance, then they decided to even talk to pick up customers. Then waited another 5 min, she finally brought my food and took my payment. Took another 5 min coming back with my card( I stared at her the whole time laughing and giggling). So a +20min wait to get food to go, I ordered 30 mins prior. My gf ordered extra ginger with house sauce. They just gave us house sauce. Forget about the ginger(or the extra ginger) for that matter. Forget the wasabi. I think they have a system where they prioritize dine in customers over take out. Only wish they made it...

have been here multiple times and usually order the same thing every time. The past two days I have decided to order my food on uber eats and the food has been terrible. I ordered the bento teriyaki plate and the chicken was so hard it seemed as if they reheated leftovers and put sauce on it. I have ordered this before on uber eats from here and never had such poor quality. Second time ordering I ordered salmon and cucumber role. Again I have had the salmon before and had some bones in it but not as many as this time and the fish were so tiny. The cucumber role was so poorly made it fell apart each time I picked it up. I am unsure if they got new cooks or if they chose to be sloppy because it was a delivery order. Also neither times had soy sauce or utensils. Im just disappointed that the quality has been poor these past two consistent times Ive ordered. When you spend money you hope to get quality food for the price...

I gotta say it, this is my go-to dine in Sushi restaurant in Bakersfield. It's consistently good, service is great, food arrives quickly, and most importantly, it's delicious. I've tried a plethora of sushi restaurants in the area, and this one tops all of them.

My go-to rolls are the Orange Tail Roll, Love Fire Roll, or the Bakersfield Roll if I really want something different. For basic rolls, I usually pick salmon or yellowtail. The hand rolls are really good and very filling too.

The lunch specials and happy hour prices only sweeten the deal. The price is pretty competitive to nearly all the sushi restaurants I've been to, but their lunch special prices on their hand rolls and their happy hour specials on a wide selection of rolls, make this a no brainer place to go to when you want your fill on sushi for a...
