El Taco Loco — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Do not come here! Please read below Well this is the second time coming here I LOVE authentic Mexican food absolutely love it and I live by here so I decided to try it I went through the drive through ordered a torta de asada the bread was hard no flavor really cold and the steak was so hard and chewy so that was that wasn't really satisfied so I decided to give it a second chance because again I love Mexican food so this time around I ordered the number 1 combo which includes 3 tacos rice and beans and a salad so I get home 2 minutes later and dig in same problem with the meat no flavor stale tortillas not to mention all the tortillas are double tortilla except one ? Like they couldn't afford to make them all the same or trying to save money this way and the salad is ONLY iceburg lettuce nothing else the cashier was very quiet i would say not very customer friendly I am very disappointed definitely will not return trying to save money but costing them want would have been a loyal customer all in all the only positive thing I can say was the salsa was tasty good flavor for what I payed which was about 10 dollars the food was...

I have been going to El Taco Loco since it was just a small restaurant in Lamont. The food is usually great. Hands down the best tacos in Bakersfield. The Burritos and Tortas are also very tasty. I have had a few occasions where the meat was either over cooked and dry or not very hot (warm).

This place is usually a 3 to 4 star restaurant but not today. It's below a 1 star, u pay money to get good quality food right? U pay money to get a meal? Well I ordered a simple chicken torta and taco, but hardly received any chicken at all. The bread was pretty old, nothing was good at all. What a disappointment to be honest, paying hard earned money to receive nasty tasting and cold food. The customer service was horrible upon asking them about this issue. What else was the issue today? How about the most god awful smell in the kitchen and completely suffocating all the other customers. I wasn't the only person to say something about this issue. But to the surprise of no one the employee gave no interest in the customers concern and continued to just play around in the back of the kitchen like a 2 year old. This place is in need of a manager that can handle some issues when they arise. I will tell all my friends and family about this experience and hope others will be careful next time around. Not worth the 25 min wait , money...
