I have always gone to Smith for Donuts, Brownies, bread and cookies, so this time I decided to order a German chocolate cake and told I'm not I wanted being German chocolate with the coconut frosting on the top and some put chocolate frosting on the outside in each layer to have the coconut pecan frosting in between each layer. Well the problem lies is that when I picked up the cake it did look, it look like they poured of some kind of a pacan frosting something on there and didn't even do what I wanted and it like ruined it so I took it home anyhow because they were all expecting the cake but it really didn't taste very good either so the next day I went back and I talked to them and they gave me full credit I've always use smith and I love Smith's I am going there in about an hour to get some turnovers and Probably more donuts and probly order another cake. I had prepaid for a cake And wanted a Pink Champagne cake no special decorations or writing just solid cake and was told no, even though I had already pre paid for a cake at the Bakery on Union. Commented on FB was told by staff 3 days later, that I needed to create an order more than a day in advanced was because of “the holidays” and the “pandemic.” I scoured their website, there is no specifications of when to order cakes or how the Pandemic has effected the ordering process I’ve always done it the day before during the Pandemic and before and had no problem and was very happy. I am unable to wear a ma$k due to a medical condition, but even after informing them of that fact they still denied me service. They violated HIPAA laws & guidelines also. I patiently waited in their extremely long line, but when I got inside a short, rotund Hispanic woman yelled at me for not wearing a ma$k even after explaining that I cannot due to a medical condition. They did not offer any alternative to purchase anything and just refused me service. I will never spend another penny at any of their locations unless they issue a formal apology.
