Customer Service/Communication 10/4/25 @ 2:00pm This review is strictly based on the operation of the business. I called to make a phone order, the lady that answered wasn't friendly nor helpful. She let me know that they don't take phone orders and that I would have to use door dash. I guess we live in a world that everyone has door dash or knows how to operate it? Even out older community? For a business that supports Veterans this isnt good. So I go on door dash, tried to order tri tip and it wasn't an option. I called back a 2nd time to see why, the lady said they dont have tri tip today. Ok...so I continued with my order, again I mentioned to the lady at the time I was doing a dash order. So I finish my order, go to pay my $70 for 3 meals and guess what, no pick-up time option for today! I called back for the 3rd and final time and she tells me "oh im sorry, let me check with the cook" she comes back and says "the cook took the online ordering offline because we've been busy". I told her "I've called 3 times with 3 different issues, you never told me you guys werent take orders online anymore. She says "Im sorry he didn't let me know" I just said "ok bye", because at this point I'm over it. Their communication between each other, lack of communication to their customer and no ability to take phone orders made this miss out on 1 more order for today. I want the owner to know that his food is amazing, but customer service and operation of a business is just as important. You know you're popular in this community so why are there ever only 2 or 3 people working when we've come in here? Why do you only have 1 cook?! It's ridiculous and if I'm being honest, it's has been like that the other 2 times I've been there. We went a couple weeks ago and the young girl that was working was very sweet, but looked over worked and stressed. With her that day was only cook and they were pretty steady with customers. It's not even the employees fault things are like that because they can only do so much especially when they are under-staffed. However, the customer service and the way their attitude is absolutely on them. I've worked in many restaurants, I understand the pressure and stress, so I give the lady I spoke with today some grace. The owner needs to know though, and it'll be up to him to fix. They are not the only business in town with awesome BBQ, and it doesn't even matter how good the food is if the operation side of it doesn't match. Customer Service is everything. I hope this reaches the owner and if he truly cares about how his business is ran, he'll take the community's experiences into consideration. I will be back at some point to eat because the food is great! I just hope everything else improves. Thank...

Read moreWe stumbled upon this place while driving home from L.A. and we were pleasantly surprised! Our family ordered chicken and brisket plates with sides of mac and cheese, fries, baked beans, chili beans and a garden salad. The chicken was really impressive - it was flavorful, tender and juicy. My daughter devoured it! The brisket was moist and fall apart tender. It was great with the house-made mustard and spicy BBQ sauces.
The mac and cheese was not a traditional cheese sauce, but it was savory and delicious! It had a bit of meat mixed in with the sauce, giving it a smokey flavor. The baked beans were heavily seasoned with pepper, which balanced nicely against the sweet sauce. The chili beans were thick and hearty, made with beans, a red sauce and meat. The fries were crisp and lightly seasoned. They were tasty, but paled in comparison to the other bold flavors on the table. I think the garlic fries would have been a perfect pairing instead, but our garlic averse kiddo forced our hand.
The garden salad was made with fresh, crisp romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes and shredded cheese. We tried it with the ranch dressing and it did not disappoint. The salad was a great pairing with the traditionally heavy BBQ dishes.
All in, this place was a win for us. Staff was friendly and attentive, prices were average for BBQ fare and portions were generous. Bathrooms and the overall facility was clean and well kept. We will definitely stop by again on our next road trip. If you're in the area, give it a try!
(BTW, some other reviews mentioned pink chicken. Yes, it is pink, but it's not undercooked! The smoking process turns the meat pink, which can be a bit confusing with chicken. They added a sign above the counter mentioning this to clarify this. Our chicken was definitely...
