Victor’s Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Where do I start? I love both locations but the Downtown location is wonderful. Very clean, modern lighting fixtures, and LOVE the bible verse displayed daily. Often I go in when I am struggling with something and that daily verse will be the exact comfort I needed and it is matched with kind staff. Manager, Alex is a sweetheart who displays strong work ethic and such a positive personality. She is visibly juggling a lot and still makes time to connect to each customer on a personal level. THE FOOD: Amazing! I am never disappointed. I usually get the chicken bowl--the employees already know my order so it's always quick and fun. Taylor and Blair are great! To my knowledge, they have been extremely loyal employees to Victors over the last few years. They are always there and always ready to greet me with a smile. I like that I usually see the same staff working every time I go because it gives me an opportunity to develop friendships that go beyond small talk at the cash register. When we leave, we are always thanked for coming in. I feel refreshed and valued after visiting. Very pleased-- I recommend Victors to everyone and will continue to do so. See you guys...

I went to the victors on 20th street 9/5/2023 at around 12:30-12:40pm. All I remember is this girl wearing a purple bow on her hair. She was the worst server ever!!!! Did not greet us. When she offer to help another girl with my burrito, she just threw the toppings like she could care less how it was placed or where it was being placed. Instead at looking at where she was placing it, she was looking up at her surroundings instead. Didn’t make no contact or ask me for anything else. Her attitude changed my whole mood and lost my appetite. This is actually one of the worst reviews I had done and I just need them to know that the type of service she offer was very unacceptable. I would have 100% understood if maybe the line was ridiculous long but there was only one person behind us, no excuse on how she serves the food. Unfortunately I would never go back to that location. She definitely needs to be trained again on how to serve because that service...

I’m really disappointed in Victors today, I was looking forward to their chilaquiles and to my surprise it did not have tortilla chips, when we looked at our order it was a few soggy tortilla strips. What made it worse is I called them to let them know I was really dissatisfied with my order, and that I felt they needed to do something to make it right. I didn’t ask for a refund or anything like that but maybe a discount for a future order since I’m a loyal customer and in my 5 years I have never once complained. The manager put me on hold and when she came back on the phone just told me she spoke with her cook and that he confirmed that’s how they make their chilaquiles and there was nothing she could do. Oh and she said next time if I order that all they could do Is a side of chips at no cost! I would not recommend anyone to order this breakfast item ever unless your looking for a wanna...
