Was hired as a Crew Leader, Thrown into the position with NO specific training but kept positive and did the best I could. I found out that I was there only as a BODY with a TITLE and nothing else. I started to notice extremely odd, and unprofessional behavior from the staff and brought it to the Managers attention MARIA was irritated and didnât want to be bothered. Staff leaving in the middle of shifts without notifying me or clocking out, Employees making FAKE phone orders so they can take UNCLAIMED food home, Consistently on their cell phones watching sporting events, FaceTiming Friends, Texting, Sitting with Radom Vendors chatting and giving them FREE FOOD, Neighbors of Employees coming through the back helping themselves to unlimited quantityâs of Ice for a PARTY/BBQ they are having were just a FEW of the things I found completely disturbing and never experienced before at any Restaurant I worked for. So bringing it to MARIAâS (manger)attention and asking her to reassign me to the ORIGINAL position I applied for was not what she wanted to hear. I was scheduled for Only ONE more shift, taken off the schedule and finally a week later I received a text message letting me know that she had no position available for me at her restaurant. I was then told to return the shirt given to me and she would then give me my last paycheck. I was baffled, confused and just utterly disappointed. I had no write ups or complaints from guests regarding my performance. No documentation of any kind? I am super sad at the way things were handled and I wish I had some sort of clarification as to why? My hope is that nobody has to go through The same kind of disappointment as I had to go through. Itâs pretty devastating when a major chain such as IHOP Can be so unprofessional with their...
Read moreWe haven't been to an IHOP in awhile. So we thought we would try it out for dinner. We first arrived everything was good my two children ordered from the kids menu (both grill cheese sandwiches ) one asked for a slice of ham added to the sandwich when we got the order a thick slice of ham was slapped on top of the bread the bread was soft and the cheese was not melted the waiter said "oh sorry about the ham I told him(THE COOK) you wanted it in the sandwich " you'd think the waiter would have common sense to ask the cook to put the ham inside the sandwich before bringing it to the customer as I opened the sandwich to put the thick slice of ham (sandwich sliced in 4) I noticed that half of the sandwich didn't even have cheese the other half on the other hand had loads of it I checked my other sons sandwich and it was exactly the same way(What kind of cook dose that especially for a child's dish very lazy person) I was so upset I asked my husband to get the manager (who looked like he was still attending high school ) when I showed him the food he had a blank look as if he didn't know what to say or do I told him that I was leaving all he said was "oh your leaving? Okay, sorry about that." Since when did restaurant's hire children to run the show?why?where's the supervision? You can obviously tell that all staff has no care for customer service and possibly doesn't care for their job they...
Read moreI don't know what happened to this location. It just seems like everything went downhill.
Our server, Bryce, looked and sounded like the only one happy to be working. Everyone else looked miserable. This was reflected in the tidyness of the restaurant and the quality of the food. Imagine miserable workers taking care of the cleaning and miserable cooks cooking.
The walls were filled with the stickiness of food. The tops of things haven't been wiped down...so dust and oil are visible. It took workers the entirety of our time spent eating to come around and pick up the dropped items on the floor from other diners.
My husband and I ordered the same thing, with an exception on dressing (mine yes, his no). Both of our food came back undesirable. They got my order wrong by not giving me dressing, but both of our chicken was burned, not overreacting. Chicken was dry, not golden crispy, but black. His was more than mine, so he sent it back. This meant he was not able to eat with the family.
My 6 year old's order was wrong. He wanted buttermilk pancakes and received chocolate, so he didn't eat. I was honestly scared of sending food back. If you're sending back food that clearly wasn't made with care, what're you expecting to get back?
The diners adjacent to us sent their food back back too.
Oh, and we were charged twice. Go eat somewhere else, especially if...
