Took The Pizza Princess on a surprise trip to @frankspizzandpasta in Parkville a couple weeks ago on a quiet Thursday night. Let’s just say we ate our way around the menu and cant wait to go back for more 🔥 🔥 🔥! BIG shoutout to Gerry and his crew for the delicious pies, mussels, and pasta 👌🏼 #pizza #pizzalover #pizzalife #bestpizza #foodtour #marylandfoodie #pizzatour #pizzaprincess

An unassuming strip mall houses this family-run pizzeria, in business for 40 years, but only recently discovered by Tik-Tokker Dave Portnoy, a pizza aficionado who rates pizzas on a score of 1-10 on his “One Bite” show. He declared this one a worthy contender. I understand there are fans who map out and make a pilgrimage to locations listed by Portnoy but I’m not one of them. However, when my husband informed me there was supposed to be a great pizzeria not too far from us we made the half hour drive inside Baltimore’s beltway to the Overlea neighborhood. Along the way, I learned this particular pizza had received an 8.3 review. We arrived at 1pm on a cold January weekday and found a long line, but thankfully it moved quickly. There are 2 menu boards hanging on the right wall, but there are no prices listed. We ordered a large (16”) Supreme pizza: pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onion, mushroom, ground beef, black olives and extra cheese. Also ordered were a small (12”) Margarita pizza, and Frank's Special Steak sub: mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, sauce, hold the green peppers. At $67, it's not cheap, but we took the entire steak sub and the small pizza to-go, so this covered 2 full meals. Our group of 3 settled into a booth in the limited seating area and we watched the kitchen staff moving efficiently during our short wait. I found the pizza extraordinary—and the steak sub even more so. The steak sub was accompanied by a serving of tomato sauce, but it was not needed. This was quality meat served on a roll with the right amount of crunch, and the sub’s cheese sauce had a delicate taste-- not like that yellow “Wit” that I avoid on Philly cheese steaks. The Supreme pizza had a very nice sturdy crust to support all those flavorful toppings. I’m “Team Sub,” and not the pizza enthusiast that my husband is, but it’s certain that we’ll be back. I’m ordering that steak sub again and want to try the cold cut. My husband said he’s returning for the pizza, that it was one of the best he’s had in a long time. Before heading out we chatted with Armando, the pizzeria founder. He approached us to apologize for the wait and said they’ve been slammed since the rating video was posted. He was a charmer, regaling us with his family’s background story, their emigration from Naples and participation in international pizza competitions. This family-run eatery is poised to become well-known beyond their own neighborhood.

This is By FAR ,"my PERSONAL FAVORITE PLACE to eat" ! 😍 !!! I can't say ENOUGH GOOD THINGS about this FAMILY-RUN BUSINESS ! My 2 FAVORITE guy's in the restaurant business !, Brothers GERRY & DANIEL ,who consequently took over this family owned business Just a few years ago from their father, but its been established since way back in 1985 ! 😃 And in my opinion, they are doing a bang-up job of KEEPING it the "ABSOLUTE BEST PLACE IN TOWN "to eat ! , speaking of FAMILY ! , That is EXACTLY 💯 how they TREAT you and make you FEEL here ! ,EVERYBODY who works here is SUPER friendly as well ! 😊 I make it a POINT to come ALL the way ACROSS TOWN just to eat HERE ! 😊 the FOOD is FANTASTIC ! and the SERVICE is FANTASTIC ! They even have a WIDE ASSORTMENT of DESSERTS (IN THE CLEAREST FRONT REFRIGERATED COOLER ACROSS FROM THE COUNTER) ! 🥮🍰 (SEE PICS) they're cannolis are my FAVORITE ! 😋Treat yourself to the TASTIEST CANNOLIS I've had yet ! 😋 (SEE PICS) They make their cannolis "FRESH" ! "HAND MADE" just for YOU PERSONALLY, right away upon ordering them ! ,"NO OTHER RESTAURANT" (SERVING CANNOLIS) I'VE EVER BEEN TO ,DOES THAT ! 🤗 (SEE PICS) also try their homemade cream of crab soup and Maryland crab soup ,made with REAL lump crab ! 😉 absolutely DELICIOUS !! ,I also LOVE their PIZZA 🍕! 😋 I am a pizza FANATIC and CONNOISSEUR ! , I was introduced to their "SPAGHETTI PIZZA"🍕 You heard that right !, In fact, buy GERRY himself ! 😉 It's absolutely UNBELIEVABLE ! 😯 (SEE INCLUDED PICS OF THIS MONSTROUS CREATION !!) it's was quite a DELIGHT !! and just an FYI !, I positively RECOMMEND that you do "call in AHEAD of time ,at least a "half hour before you come" in, If you're eating in !?, as it is quite the EXTRAORDINARY dish to MAKE & BAKE ! LOL 😂😜😉 WOW ! I've NEVER SEEN ,nor TASTED ANYTHING like it ! You have to try it at least ONCE ! Although I'm addicted to it and order it EVERY chance I get ! LOL 😆 😁👍, And yes it will feed 3 to 4 people comfortably !, It's almost 2" inches thick ! 😯 And like everything else, its made with FRESH INGREDIENTS ! 😊 So if you're looking for an ALL OVER AWESOME EATING AND SOCIABLE EXPERIENCE ,WITH A GREAT ATMOSPHERE to top it ALL off ! ,then you DEFINITELY have to stop by and check them out !, I PROMISE !, You WON'T be disappointed ! 😁 And if you get a chance, MAKE sure to say Hey to GERRY & DANIEL while you're there visiting ! They're really GREAT hardworking and SUPER friendly guys ! 💯😉 tell them MATTHEW sent you !👍 And have your VERY own AWESOME EXPERIENCE Like I do EVERY SINGLE TIME I visit this "WONDERFUL ESTABLISHMENT" !...

What can I say about this place? The Cheese Steak Sub is bland and taste less I have rode passed this place numerous times and never thought to stop in until I saw a YouTube video of someone giving a review of this place the reviewer tried the Cheese Steak Sub which looked good and big when I ordered it with everything including cheese ( which they forgot) my onions weren't fried but translucent the steak didn't look brown but an off color took one bite and knew this wasn't it for me didn't like the taste of it wasn't as big as the person who reviewed it my coworker and I went in after work she said she didn't like it either and told her maybe next time we will try the wings and Pizza as that was a big seller went in ordered Wings and Pizza I asked for Garlic Parm they said they don't sell it anymore and I looked like" Wow!" Okay give me your mild with fries my coworker got pizza and Wings we left she went home and I went home the Wings weren't no where what I thought sauce at the bottom I had too add more sauce of what I had at home the fries looked like someone grabbed a hand full and toss them in the bag.I gave them two chances and failed but I will no longer spend my money on bland tasteless food as my taste buds are different from everyone may be good to some but bland and missed the mark for me I will take my chances some where else on the mark they get one ⭐️ star from me and I am being modest at best but the YouTuber who reviewed this place straight up lied he may have been nice and didn't want to hurt feelings as before he came in to review they were on the verge of closing but I am closing on them and never returning to Frank's Pizza and Pasta on Belair Road you had two chances and again failed at it and get some updated menus besides what's on the counter and update what's on the wall what you no longer sell and what you do sell besides tape on the only menu of what you don't? Instead of the " Owner!", getting in his feelings and going through comments and adding his thoughts maybe take the criticism of paying customers and listen and change some things and make it better and taste better I do understand that you guys be busy on some days but too take order's and still mess up that says plenty and you sent out on personal phones a survey of one experience of likes and dislikes and what can be done better why send it out and don't like the results you get? If you have time to go through comments and reply back then that means you have time to...
