HipHop Fish and Chicken Shawarma & Pizza n'Kebab — Restaurant in Baltimore

UPDATE: We ordered again this past April. After placing our order and having our card charged, we received a call telling us that the driver refused to deliver to our house even though they had several times before. (I have worked in a food delivery environment before. Since when does a DRIVER get to choose whether or not they are going to do the job they are being paid to do?!?) We were assured we would receive a refund to our card but it is now nearly July and we still have not received a credit. I have called a couple of times asking about it. The first time, I was told the manager/owner would return my call. I never heard from them. The last time, I was told I needed to call back during the day when he was there to speak to him. It is difficult for me to make personal calls during my work hours so I have not yet been able to get a resolution. I find it very frustrating that a place would hand deliver a menu to our home and then refuse to deliver food to the same location. The food there is delicious but I currently feel cheated.

ORIGINAL: We received a menu at our home & the pictures looked delicious. We went online & checked reviews which were really good so we decided to give it a try. I AM SO GLAD WE DID!!! The lady who took our phone order was SO NICE! The driver noted that this was our first order with them. He said we wouldn't be disappointed. He was right! We got an order of the hummus, the combination kebab platter, and the mixed gyro over rice. Both were amazing & the white sauce put it over the top for me. This may have been our first order but it definitely won't...

I ordered from here today at 1pm. I was told it would be delivered at 1:45pm. Called back 1 hour and 7 minutes later and food was still not delivered. Driver went to the wrong address in Baltimore City and I live in Baltimore County. Called to get a refund and had encountered issues. I had ordered the crab cakes. I tried to be patient with the company and give them a chance to remake the order. The driver showed up almost an hour and 20 mins later with the original food he took all the way to Baltimore City instead of a new order. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Needless to say I was promised new food and the driver left with the original food. Still sitting here without receiving the food almost 2 hours later. I wanted to be able to give a good review. Hopefully others have a better experience.

Update: Received new food. It was satisfactory. Changed rating from 1 to 3 but probably won't...

Since moving to Baltimore I’ve been repeatedly sad experimenting with kabob wraps at other places. I’ve eaten kabob wraps all over the country and the world and LOVE them! But the food scene here too often mixes Indian, Persian and Mexican cuisine for anything not a crab cake.

Happy to report that I’ve now found my go-to chicken shawarma wrap! Their wrap is composed of delicious meat and pickles and garlic sauce- exactly as it should be- no lettuce or burrito inspired nonsense. Extra sauces are all awesome too- the hot sauce is perhaps the first actually hot, hot sauce, I’ve had in this town- it’s very good. The service was super nice too!

So it’s been six months since I’ve had a legitimate chicken shawarma wrap and I’m borderline in a food coma as I type this, but I believe their wrap may actually be the very best wrap I’ve ever had, anywhere. I’m so excited to finally find...
