The food truck is operated by a young husband and wife team, both are a treat to converse with. Food is always fresh, plentiful, and severed with a pleasant smile and a side of conversation if you are lucky. For the price the portion sizes are enough for two people, though it's soo good you might not want to share. Unlike the other food trucks in the area, the Jordanian Hala Food Truck is what I would consider a staple to the Johns Hopkins University campus community. Mohammed knows the majority of his customers by name; nothing is more personal than someone knowing your name and order upon arrival. People of kind pull up, walk up or call in their orders for their chance to enjoy a unique, authentic flavor profile that I have yet to find in similar establishments. Good Food Served by Good People! My favorite is the chicken and lamb mix with a side of pita :) ooo and my fries lol .

Please ask for the price before you pay! I found it a little weird that most of the prices were scratched out or had been covered up but I didn't think too much of it. I eat at these carts often and the price is usually $7 or $8 dollars and it includes a drink. This guy was yelling on his phone when I approached the cart (not wearing a mask) but I waited until he finished his conversation before making my order. Something clicked in my brain and said " He never told me a price for the food" so I checked my bank account and was charged $28+ for three chicken and rice platters with no drink! This food better be amazing because based on my experiences thus far, I doubt I'll come back to this place. I may just start making my own chicken and rice because the other cart I go to (Paradise Halal) is always closed. I just want some chicken and rice at a fair price!!!! (Bars)

So thankful for Mohammad and his lovely halal food truck being at the Charles St in front of Hopkins. I got the mixed chicken and lamb with rice with some spicy sauce and it’s soooooooooo goooood And the portions are huge that I had some for lunch yesterday, felt quite full and now I have a good bowl today for lunch again And it’s only like $11 like come on in this economy???? And Mohammad is so niceee unlike other food truck owners sometimes Would def get it again when I am too tired or too busy to cook
