Stopped in for lunch with good friends who live locally. There is a very nice pub atmosphere here. The pub wasn't very crowded and the bartender acted as our server. The was still serving a limited menu for the St Patrick's Day weekend. I had the Bangers and Mash and we shared some Irish Poutine. The bartender was very attentive, checking in with us several times throughout the meal. I had a Monument City Brewing; American Brown Ale to start with which matched well with the meal. The Bangers and Mash were served with an excellent mustard-based homemade sauce. All said and done the food was great at a reasonable price with timely and attentive service. This is definitely a place to check out, if you haven't been yet.

We have been visiting the Canto Local since it was first opened. The new owners are awesome. My wife and I went there tonight for my birthday to dine together. Their menu is new and the food was amazing! Their beer selection is perhaps better that most of the local bars and taverns in the area, and we visit all the nice ones, so... just saying. Their burgers are great and the salad with blackened tuna was top notch. Prices are great and the service was 5 Stars and more. The owner visited with us several times and spent time getting to know us, a touch I rarely see in establishments today, yet reminiscent of the family owned restaurants I visited as a young man. You will see us there again, and often.

I hosted my birthday party here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The bar was packed on Wing Wednesday, but they reserved tables for my friends and me and made sure we were taken care of all night. Jocelyn was an amazing bartender, and the owners, Mike & Brice, jumped in whenever things got hectic — you can really tell they care about their place and their customers. They even went above and beyond by putting my name on the sign out front, which was such a fun surprise! It’s the little things like that that keep me coming back. The perfect neighborhood spot: fun, welcoming, and the kind of place where the owners aren’t “too good” to show their own faces. Highly recommend!

Will never visit again. While I did join my party after they had put in an initial round of drinks, I waited 25 minutes to be to put in an order. Though my drink came well made and quickly, I waited another 40 minutes for my food order, however, they got my food order wrong (chicken cheesesteak instead of the rib-eye cheesesteak I ordered). When I asked that the chicken cheesesteak be comp’d taken off they offered only to send it back and make my actual order or give me 50% off the chicken cheesesteak. I asked if they would make a ribeye cheesesteak to go and only charge me full price for one or take 50% my tab (just a cheesesteak and one drink) but refused both. The worst parts followed; the chicken cheesesteak was terribly dry and lacking flavor AND a cockroach ran across the table half way through the meal. We all promptly asked for checks and left. I wish I could respect this place but they clearly don’t respect their customers...
