Quality. That's the absolute best word to describe Hadorn's. Any given morning when passing by this legendary bakery, you will almost be guaranteed to see a line of people waiting down the block to be able to load up on some amazing donuts. While the line may seem intimidating, the outstanding staff that awaits inside handles the load quickly and efficiently. In all of the times I've been to Hadorn's, I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes to be able to get through the line, get my donuts, and be on my way home to enjoy them. If you ask anyone in town where you should go to get donuts, you will undoubtedly be told the only place worthy of going is Hadorn's. The cookies are with out a DOUBT the best commercially made cookies you will find! I SO wish I would have purchased more! I let the 5 star rating stand even though the Carrot cupcake I bought was dry. The buttercream frosting was Grand but it couldn't fix the actual cupcake. We purchased additional mini cupcakes in strawberry and chocolate and they were Marvelous!

I recommend you try this bakery and prove me wrong on the Carrot cupcakes!!!

I just spoke with Mr. Hadorn and He was most accommodating. I remembered the brownies that were sold at the Louisville store from when I was a teen. It was a sad day when the store closed on Dixie and Vorster. I will continue to be a customer of Hadorns even though I have to drive from Louisville to Bardstown. Their baked goods have always been stellar. The old formula brownies are the stuff of legend.
