The Unforgettable 'Worst Pizza' Experience It was July 2025, a night when we arrived home late and utterly famished. The suggestion to order pizza seemed like a brilliant idea. Barnegat boasts numerous pizza shops, and over the years, we'd sampled most of them. On this particular evening, I opted for Domino's, drawn by the convenience of online ordering. I placed an order for their New York Style pizza, which they advertised as "Hand-stretched thin and cut into six big, foldable slices offering a perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and crust in every bite." We also ordered a Crunchy Thin Crust, touted as "Thin enough for the optimum crispy to crunchy ratio and square cut to be perfectly shareable." It arrived on time, and the boxes felt warm. Opening them, we were greeted by two pizzas that, at first glance, looked... nice. But that, tragically, was the only positive thing these pizzas offered. I chose the New York Style first, eager for that advertised "perfect balance." What I got was a crust that defied all logic, a doughy, undercooked interior that clung stubbornly to my teeth. The edges, far from being golden and airy, were utterly lifeless, offering no structural integrity whatsoever. It was like trying to eat a damp dishrag and it tasted like it. The thin crust was no better. It presented a perplexing combination of cardboard-like dryness on the bottom, as if it had been left out for days, topped with a meager, dry sauce and a handful of Parmesan cheese that seemed to have been sprinkled on as an afterthought, doing nothing to alleviate the desolation. The sauce was an absolute abomination. It wasn't just strangely dry and bland; There was no savory taste. There was not the slightest hint of fresh herbs, garlic, or the rich, slow-simmered depth one expects from a proper tomato sauce. It was a sugary, insipid smear. And the cheese, oh, the cheese. It lacked any discernible flavor, contributing only a repulsive oily sheen and an unpleasant, rubbery texture that quickly cooled into a waxy, unappetizing mass. It slid off in one congealed sheet with the first attempt at a bite, leaving the rest of the slice bare and sad. Our overall impression was one of profound, soul-crushing disappointment. This wasn't just "bad" pizza; it was actively unpleasant, leaving a lingering sense of regret and a desperate craving for a palate cleanser. It was the kind of pizza that makes you question all your life choices leading up to that moment, wondering how such culinary missteps could exist. Pizza rarely goes to waste in our house, a testament to our love for it. But both of these pizzas were, quite simply, inedible. Even our dog, usually an enthusiastic participant in any food-related endeavor, turned up his nose in disdain. Overall, I will never order from Domino's again. This was, without a doubt, the worst pizza I have ever had. And having traveled near and far, I can confidently say this experience earns a ZERO star on the...
Read moreThis Dominos is always forgetting my ranch cup and other extra items when ordering delivery.Asked for a manager and I swear I got a standard worker. I am someone who has worked in kitchens all over the area. This place has one of the worst customer serve. It took me to curse before they even offered a refund. The refund was for just the dang cup not my meal witch upsets me because while being told I would receive a ranch cup my wings got cold. Further more detail asked if there was a kitchen manager. I was informed I was speaking to the hiring manager he basically shut down. He also told me how they higher new kitchen staff every week. (This creates tons of concerns in my mind). I usually would let one cup go but this has been going on for a few months now. The next issue is I have to pay an extra 50cent for these ranch cups depending what I’m ordering. So not only do I pay extra but I never receive it. Was told they would bring me my ranch, yet I never receive it. I will be curious to see if they credit me anything. I will never order from here again! I will start to encourage others to not order. This area has plenty of other pizza places to order from. Don’t waste your time or money with this...
Read moreUpdate: 11/09/2024 Since the summer this particular dominoes have hired staff that all look and act like they are still in middle school. They are rude and Noah and Allison the "managers" are rude and unapologetic for anything that transpires. They seem to enjoy when people complain. Heads up little ones but you work at dominoes. I stopped ordering more and more from there because of the staff. Dominoes corporate complaint department that is on the dominoes website is worth talking if you have similar issues! Just be sure to fill out right away. You have 16 days to make a claim from the date of order for poor delivery but make to have all the store information and your order number from the ticket on box. I encourage all people that have an issue with this dominoes to send Ina corporate complaint
