I never leave reviews, but I felt like I had to after this visit. We were really looking forward to trying Adventure Cafe in Hyannis, but the experience was disappointing enough that I want others to know what to expect.
I visited Adventure Cafe in Hyannis with my parents for breakfast, and unfortunately, it was a letdown from start to finish. For a total bill of over $60, we expected a much better experience than what we received.
We ordered French toast, blueberry pancakes, chicken & waffles, and a side of bacon, pretty basic breakfast items, yet it took over 30 minutes to be served. It felt like there was only one person working the entire place, which meant long waits and no real service. My mom’s plain coffee with cream was served in a tiny mug, tasted off, and somehow cost $5. It was advertised as free refills, but with no staff available, good luck getting one.
When the food finally arrived, it was honestly not worth the wait or the price. The French toast was just four small slices of basic toast with a splash of syrup. The pancakes and waffles were dry and clearly from a Krusteaz mix, bland and unimpressive. My mom’s bacon was missing at first but eventually brought out. Still, the overall meal felt slapped together. The table didn’t even have maple syrup or basic condiments you’d expect at any breakfast place, and we didn’t bother asking for more syrup because we didn’t want to get charged extra.
The only redeeming part of the meal was the chicken & waffles, which at least came with multiple components and felt like it had some value. Everything else felt overpriced and underwhelming, especially since most items were à la carte and added up quickly.
There are plenty of better breakfast spots in the area with better service, food, and value. I wouldn’t come...
Read moreI went to the Adventure Café with my mom following a yoga class this morning and I had to leave this review because of the exceptional service, food and drinks that we received. My mom had been here previously and could not stop Raving about their fresh fruit juices. We recently went to Thailand and have been looking for a place on Cape to get fresh pressed juices like they make over in Thailand. This is the only place we have found on the Cape whose juices taste as good-if not better- than they did in Thailand. I also decided to try their banana coffee and oh my God it’s absolutely unbelievable. I know I am going to be coming to this place many times this summer. The service and attention to detail was unmatched. I didn’t get her name but the woman at the front who has a moon necklace was so kind and made our experience amazing with her recommendations and attentiveness to us. My mom tried their Matcha and it was also amazing. We came for the juice , But their coffee and food are both just as awesome . Also, the presentation of the drinks is so beautiful and I really appreciate when people take pride in what they create and you can definitely tell that the owners and the workers out of Adventure café are very passionate about their food and drinks. I have not a single bad thing to say about this place. It was clean and the service was amazing. The people were friendly and the atmosphere even had us chatting with all the tables around us asking them what they got and trying different things. Thank you so much Adventure Café and we are so excited to have you on the...
Read moreGreat breakfast, great lattes. Little pricey, but definitely measured up. **EDITING MY REVIEW: Went back the next day. The lattes didn’t taste the same, but maybe it was just proportions. My friend and I both orders veggie omelets (again) because we enjoyed them the day before. My friend got hers after waiting 30 min, but there we 5 people in front of us, so reasoned that it was backed up. Mine didn’t come out at the same time, but counter lady said it was coming. Waited another 15 min, then checked on it. There was apparently an issue and it was coming. Waited another 10 min, went back up again, this time very frustrated. She said she was going to check on it, the kitchen thought they made it but she knew she hadn’t served it. Everyone else was getting their food, eating it, and leaving. Finally went back after ANOTHER 10 min, and had to make a bit of a scene before the man working went and made them make me a dang veggie omelet. Then when I “suggested” they credit me back my money since I waited AN HOUR+ FOR AN OMLET. They did, but had no empathy and were not even remorseful for the situation....
