Bro what?
I picked this place based on Google reviews and let me tell you, it was NOT what you would expect. And not in a good way. They are review farming on Google specifically (the waitress asked us to leave a 5 star) but I wasn’t able to find a single other poor review in their recent history. I am honestly shocked at that.
First, the place was extremely loud. A group of people in the corner were playing dominoes and greatly enjoying slamming them in the table so loud it would make your ears hurt. At one point they also started yelling. Thankfully the waitress put a stop to the yelling part, but they continued to be a nuisance the entire dinner. Also, the blender they use for certain things must have been in the dining room because when they turned it on the sound loudly took over the entire dining space for a straight minute. Incredibly unprofessional. Maybe this is just an authentic Caribbean lounge atmosphere that I can’t appreciate?
Second, the service was slow. Unacceptably so. It took a few minutes for the waitress to table us, and we were basically the only people even there. Another 10 to get a drink and food order. 15-20 after that to get drinks. And there was only one other table there. The waitress was nice enough but just way too much time taken here. When we did get the drinks, the water had a mild taste to it like latex and the coke had…lemon in it? Or drugs maybe. But probably lemon.
Attention to detail was poor; they had totally dead plants hanging out on the windowsill. Same energy dinner had really, so I guess they nailed the atmosphere, in a way.
The food was just alright and didn’t make up for the other issues. Didn’t care for the plantains. They had basically no flavor besides the added salt. Curried goat was fine but that’s the best I can say about it. Some others in my group did enjoy the food quite a bit, so maybe that part was just me.
There are reviews on other platforms that are far more accurate; look at those first, don’t trust Google here. Absolutely was not worth my time, and is probably not worth yours unless there are significant changes or unless you play hardcore dominoes. Way better places for the same or better...

Today I tried the Oxtail & Goat soup; let’s just say I almost ate the containers. The oxtail is among the ABSOLUTE BEST I’ve EVER TASTED! I had mine with rice & peas, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The soup hit the spot and my palate in preparation for the oxtail.
Additionally, this restaurant is in the DOORDASH network ; no excuse for not having GREAT JAMAICAN FOOD!

Read moreJust got back from the advertised $50 seafood buffet. It was the worst dining experience of my life. After we were there for about 10 minutes and no one had stopped by our table, I found a woman standing around and asked for water. The buffet was advertised from 5:00 til 8:00, we got there at 6:00 and a third of the buffet dishes were empty (no food pans in them at all). There were never any bacon wrapped scallops, no lobster rolls, and there was a half of a burned lobster left, the lobster was never refilled. There was a bowl of salad sitting there wrapped in plastic and no dressing. The plates and utensils were plastic, which I took to the garbage can myself as the server never once stopped by to clear our dirty plates or refill our water - I had to go stand at the bar to ask for a refill. When I told the server how bad the service was, she said she had been busy "doing other things", from what I observed that was mostly standing around the corner from the buffet. I saw 4 other tables seated the entire time we were there, and our server wasn't busy attending to any of them. Was there no manager present on a Saturday night to see what was going on? I am appalled that a restaurant could be this bad, and definitely false advertising where the buffet items...
