I have worked for Bamboo Gardens for almost 7 months and it is my go to Chinese Restaurant. I have ate at all the local Asian food places but this will forever be my favorite and not just because I work there. Each restaurant has their own unique recipe or way of doing things so I'm not going to put anyone down. But I just really enjoy being able to watch them make the food fresh everyday, how clean they are and friendly to their customers. We always have regulars and new comers who say they will be back for more. Some of my favorite items include the egg rolls (of course everyone knows how big they are), their pan fried dumplings, rices, lo mein, and mostly all the meat dishes. Mr. Kung blends the perfect amount of herbs and spices to make all the dishes really delicious. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who likes authentic Chinese food. A nicer-on-the-inside American Chinese food restaurant. Service was prompt and friendly enough. Got the General Tso's chicken special that came with rice and an egg roll. Other reviewers were right, the egg rolls are ENORMOUS, and fairly tasty.

Sadly, the sauce on the chicken was far too sweet (and I love sweet) and had an odd sandy texture that was quite off-putting. The chicken and rice were cooked fine. Prices are good, not great. If I come back, I'm not ordering that again (and the General is usually my go-to for American Chinese food), but I'll likely try every other option in Barre before...

Delicious! A sweeter take on General Tso than I've ever had, which was a nice surprise. Affordable, lunch and dinner combos are interesting (chow mein with crab rangoons is my favorite). Seems like most of their business is take out, but they do have a small dining area where I eat during lunch on occasion. Parking is a bit of a quandary, but like I said, it seems like most of the business is take out, that goes for table service too. If you're expecting a sit down service restaurant, then you'll be disappointed, but that's not to say that dining in is in any way unpleasant....
