We were in town to pick up a motorcycle. Strapped for time, we asked the seller where to get good takeout. He recommended Cornerstone, and it did not disappoint! I want to apologize to the staff for our demeanor - we had a time-sensitive obligation two hours south, and we were two hours and fifteen minutes away, and hungry! I called in an order - we got the Pub Burger, Putin and when it came to the salad options, I was being a bit particular to the gentleman on the phone, then he enthusiastically suggested the (seasonal) Pear Salad. All of the items were exceptionally good, but the Salad was a masterpiece! Fresh pears, walnuts, craisins, cheese - maybe cinnamon (?) and all sorts of deliciousness 😋. The vinegrette was spectacular as well. We probably came off as rude, insensitive and demanding - needing condiments, napkins, utensils, etc.. - which were all politely/neatly packed up for us. I hope you know that we really appreciate your tolerance, professionalism and skill! Today it was the journey, not the destination for...

Ate a TON of dishes with my family Saturday. Mac n cheese: a 7 very mid Buffalo wings: 10! My sis sucked these down! Fried pickles: 6 love that they’re chips but too much batter Baguette and dipping oil: a 4. The oil was good but $8 for bread? Get real the price brought this score down Truffle fries: TEN OUT OF 10! Period! Mexican street corn dip: 8! Very good slightly sweet but delicious! Fried cauliflower Parmesan flavor: a decent 7 but would’ve been excellent with a special dip Fried fish plate: 4 regular fries were atrocious, not enough tartar sauce and the fish was way too greasy. Batter was the same as fried pickles which was weird. Slaw was decent and fresh Mango cheesecake: 7 very good but needed more mango sauce on top because it was a bit dry

FINAL opinion. WAY overpriced , decent dishes with some superstars! Service was meh but these days it’s hard to find staff. Had to ask for water several times and she’s only checked on us as she...

We unknowingly went on their first day open since the flood. They had been closed for 6 weeks. The staff and customers were all elated. It was a very happy and festive atmosphere. Our server Amy was great. The food came out in a surprisingly reasonable time considering how many dishes were ordered in front of us. The food was delicious. The Nashville Hot sandwich was spot on. The turkey BLT was delicious with roasted turkey instead of the standard fare deli slice style. Great drink choices. We also really appreciated the details on all the fry substitution choices and how much they each cost. Other restaurants should take note of this. Usually the up charge is a surprise at the end on the bill or when we try to be proactive and ask, the server rarely knows. Bravo, CK!. We are looking forward...

Over promising and under delivering. Unfortunately our experience with the food wasn't great. The pictures look great and we came because the burgers looked really good. However, the rare burger we ordered came seriously overcooked, more than the other burger we had ordered as medium/well done. That made the timings all off as the took the burger back to cook another one, and anyway, when it came, this time cooked rare, it was bland, the meat lacked seasoning. Also, the Mac and cheese with bacon was wayyyy too sweet, and the tater tots very salty! All in all the food wasn't great. The waiting staff though, were very nice and professional. This place just needs to improve the kitchen!

On a road trip, we wanted to look for a solid meal in Barre. Cornerstone had some great reviews so we decided to stop by. The food was fantastic, I would highly recommend the localvore burger (I asked for truffle fries with aioli on the side) and it was exactly what I wanted in a burger. Fresh, hot, and topped with empty cheese. The calamari was also great, but just know that the sauce is on the bottom. The reason I’m leaving four stars is due to the service. While attentive, our waitress gave my family and I bad vibes, like she didn’t want to wait our table. I’m not sure if it’s because we weren’t locals, but either way, the food was good.
