I haven't had a haircut professionally since covid started, in other words at least 2 years. I've DIY trimmed myself and its been ok during that time but in October I needed to visit ny Mom out of state and while not insanely long my conservative Mom would probably be annoyed. I decided to walk in on a Friday a few days before my trip to at least inquire about a appointment. I didn't realize this was an appointment only salon online I'm old school. After standing there for 5 minutes someone who was in a salon chair clearly texting on a phone finally acknowledged me. I explained I was looking for a basic haircut (buzz 2 cut top short) didn't have an appointment and could they fit me in today or a reservation another day. She seemed kinda annoyed but yelled out to another associate "Kimberly, can you help this guy?" Kimberly was polite and asked what I was looking for. I told her and she graciously said Yes. The rude associate said, "Okay, I'll add him" not even offering to educate me to their online reservation system. Kimberly Grant was wonderful, I told her my previous buzz settings and she was so careful even offering to use a heavier setting to evaluate if it was good. I assured her I was comfortable with setting but she still made sure multiple times I was happy with my cut. She didn't event offer me her card but I believe if stylist hits it properly you should always be loyal and come back. I asked for her card and a month later yup I requested she cut my hair again. She recognized my cut line and even remembered my joke about seeing my mom with long hair and cut it perfectly. I did set an appointment online so I'm adjusting to this salon and thankfully within 3 minutes of walking in I was acknowledged this time warmly. I will definitely be making an appointment with Kimberly again in a month and maybe a shave with that...

I have had two bad experiences with the salon from two different hairdressers about a month apart. The first one left my scalp physically bleeding and when I called to have it fixed they couldn't get me in until a week and a half and I had to remove extensions myself because of pain and bleeding when I Contacted the salon I was told that maybe I should've gone with a sewing extension rather than a taping which was never mentioned to me in the first place. The girl I spoke with about doing the Sew ins was cutting down her fellow hairdresser that did the initial extensions. No resolution to my problem even at my appointment to get them removed reasonably was offered. Then about a month later I figured that I would give him a chance I used a different woman and my son who is 11 got his hair done for picture day they left the top long like he wanted and it appears like they just took clippers to the side it's all choppy it's not faded it's a very poor boys cut I'm very disappointed I will not be coming here again.
