I heard "The Rail" - Old Rail Tavern - Barrington N.J. has good wings and food. My dad and I decided to check it out for lunch. He got the garlic hot, and I got the spicy honey garlic. No breading on these guys as they are naked. If you haven't had wings brined before, you'll notice how much it makes a difference. After frying, these meaty wings weren't dry in the least bit. We sincerely enjoyed our wings and cold beer on this warm day. The wings at The Old Rail are quality, I'll leave it at that. Wing lovers, make this a spot to check out. Seems like a locals bar as people walked in were greeted by other patrons. Felt a bit like an episode of Cheers. It was a welcoming environment. We sat at the bar. We received very kind and helpful service. I would recommend getting some fries to dip into your extra sauce!

We went to the Old Rail Tavern for the very first time to watch the final Eagles game of the season. The place definitely isn't huge inside, but it was easy enough to get a table and squeeze everyone in. We ordered fries, fried pickles and wings, then a pizza at half time. The fried pickles and sauce they came with were awesome! The wings were gigantic in size, and were breaded with a tasty medium heat, buffalo sauce on them. We all enjoyed them very much! Can't say the pizza was anything special, but what do you expect from a bar. A great crowd was on hand to cheer the Eagles to victory and into the post season! I will definitely be going back to the Old Rail Tavern!

On a Wednesday night, I visited with my wife and daughter, and it happened to be trivia night. The atmosphere was pleasant and not overly crowded. I really liked the Christmas trees that were hanging upside down from the ceiling; they added a unique touch. They offer delicious daily food specials and have the relaxed vibe of a neighborhood pub. I highly recommend trying the wings and the peanut butter chocolate cake. I'm looking forward to returning when the weather is warmer so I can enjoy a beer or two on the patio this summer.

My daughter and I love going for neighborhood walks and then stopping by The rail for an early dinner when the weather is nice. The food is always good and priced very well. They are extremely accommodating for my gluten free diet and are wonderful with making my daughter feel special and working with a dietary requests she has as a child. The atmosphere is small town kindness and lots of smiles. Service is always prompt. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this spot!

948th different cheesesteak eaten in the last 4 years. A day of cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan and his New Castle Cronies. Old Rail Tavern is decorated a lot nicer than I thought it was going to be. We got a cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. We also got the Philly Special. The Philly special was the star. $18 I’m not rushing back for the Philly Special. The Cheesesteak, Amigo Dan’s half was not as good as mine. I guess we’ll call it good but inconsistent.

We stopped here for diner on our way to West Virginia for 40 Days of Trains. It was a fun stop! Food was delicious and the people working there were SO nice! Welcoming and friendly. My only small recommendation would be to rethink the music. It wasn’t loud enough to enjoy, but just loud enough to be annoying. With the fun conversations going on and the fun bar “din” the music was just intrusive.
