We decided to stop here and get some food on our way back from Nevada and this was the worst experience ever. We ordered through the drive thru a 4 piece spicy chicken combo with red beans and rice and spicy chicken combo with fries and a separate spicy chicken sandwich with a sweet tea and coke. The person that took our order said it was going to be a 15 min wait for spicy chicken and we were willing to wait. Also said that the sweet tea was still brewing and we were still willing to wait since we were waiting anyways for our food. We got up to the window and paid and they handed us two drinks then two bags of food. Luckily I checked it because it wasn't our order. So we went back in to tell them our order was incorrect. I told the guy shift lead with the pony tail that my order was incorrect and that we ordered through the drive thru. We waited an additional 30 min for our correct order which is ridiculous. I understand being overwhelmed because it was busy, but the staff here showed no professionalism especially the shift leaders. I had to ask about how much longer my food was going take with the girl shift lead that wore a cheetah print mask to get my order that took less than 5 min to make. A tip for management, check on your guest when you see them waiting at least it shows that you care eventhough you're overwhelmed. It was very dysfunctional and they not only mess up my order but were messing up other orders too. So we Finally got our food and left and not only did they mess up our order the first time but also gave us the wrong drinks we got 2 Coca-Cola's instead of 1 coke and 1 sweet tea. Very unsatisfied. The fries we got for our spicy chicken sandwich were soggy and cold as well. I will not be coming back to this Popeyes and I...
Read moreMy experience today (9/18/20) was horrible and in my opinion doesn’t even rate the one star. I went through the drive-thru and clearly placed my order. Once I paid I was asked to park in the front. Now first thing is it’s Friday afternoon and the traffic is building through Barstow due to the weekend. I would suggest there be at least two designated spots just for drive through customers as I had to park in front of cars as there was no spots available. I finally grabbed a spot and it took 10 minutes for someone to bring out my order. I noticed I did not receive my order correctly and needed an additional chicken sandwich. I had to go inside and was hoping I could get this fixed but one person said I had to wait in the line. I explained that I had already went through the drive thru. I asked to speak with the Manager where I was ignored and finally the manager came after almost 5 minutes. She then said I would have to wait an additional 5 minutes or longer as she was going to have to clear the register? And just walked away from me. The service was horrible and I now see where they learn this from their manager. I am retired and my background has always been customer service. This establishment definitely needs customer service training starting from the manager. I understand how it can get hectic at times but they should never lose focus on respect and being courteous to their customers. In summary and after waiting for an additional 5 minutes and not being acknowledged I left and needless to say I was very frustrated with the...
Read moreOnce in a while the stars all align for a normal American such as myself to visit a Popeye’s. My experience here began in Yermo at EddieWorld, but I don’t think that’s far enough back. It was 4:00am in Utah, and I was sound asleep. When 6:30am arrived, I knew I had to get up to travel. It was going to be a long day. We left at 8:00, but had to stop at Smiths to pick up some vitamin C for the cold I felt coming on. It was rainy, but the drive through Utah was blissful. And then Nevada brings its challenges, though usually only in Vegas and Primm. But recently, Littlefield AZ decided to cause traffic with some road construction. It wasn’t that bad this time, which was great because our baby needed to get out and Mesquite was our next stop. After lots of miserable traffic, we arrived in Yermo to charge the car. We spent 30 minutes in EddieWorld letting him crawl around and wear himself out to sleep the last 2.5 hours of the drive. Alas, EddieWorld doesn’t have food that wives like, so I told her about Barstow Station and the legendary McDonalds in a train car. Since the Cajon McDonalds was to be closed by the time we arrived, we decided to stop there. But in the same parking lot there she stood: Popeye’s. I’ve never been a fan, but I’ve never eaten there much. She wanted Popeye’s, so we went for it. I ended up realizing why I don’t like Popeye’s. KFC is my jam, Popeye’s wasn’t as tasty and the food not substantial or moist. But the gal who took our order was...
