The queen suite, room 413, was spacious and clean, however, the door to the room was incredibly hard to open and my son got caught between the door and the door jamb when you couldn't push it open himself. Additionally, the closet door was extremely hard to open and close, causing me to pinch my fingers twice during our stay. The shower head sprayed water from where it connected to the pipe and I had to tighten it and clean up a large water mess. The toilet seat is very heavy wood and slams down hard unless you are very careful when putting it down causing water from the toilet to spray on the user. Breakfast the first day was sparse with not many options so we had to have breakfast elsewhere. The second day breakfast was great and the breakfast attendant was very helpful with ingredients list so we knew what allergens were in the food. The business center is not working and I was unable to use it to print out necessary documents for our trip causing me to have to go somewhere else to pay to do this. The pool is cold and murky looking. While we swim in it one day, we decided not to use it for the rest of our stay due to skin and eye irritation we experience from the short time we used it the first day. The gym has a broken mirror that is at child height and easily accessible to them as the door is not kept shut but instead left propped open. Additional dangers for small children is the laundry pods that are kept in the hotel shop in the lobby as they are kept on the bottom shelf. When I notified the front desk the girl seemed unconcerned but said that she would let management know. The pods were still there when we checked out. Also, if you happen to forget any toiletries such as toothbrushes or razors, do not expect to be able to get complimentary ones nor do they have them for sale in the shop. Despite the issues, the staff were nice and welcoming. If the several safety and property upkeep issues were not a present we would have given this...
Read moreI made a reservation with the Bartlesville Fairfield Inn because we needed a hotel that had clean rooms & a hot tub. I was also a fan of the Marriott family name & reputation for honesty and integrity. After 15 hours of travel (3 stuck in a traffic jam due to waiting for an accident to clear near Springfield, Mo) we arrived at 9:38 p.m. on 5/20/15 for a 3 day stay. I asked the desk clerk (Carlos) if the hot tub was working, Carlos advised my wife & I that the hot tub had not been working for a week due to the need for part. I thought that was a poor excuse since I am sure that UPS, Fed Ex & the Post Office all have priority mail & even next day air. There was no place else to stay & we were tired so I decided to wait & call the Fairfield Inn number the next day. No disclaimer was made on the website about a malfunctioning hot tub. I paid full price & expected full service.
I was told by the day clerk that the manager stated that I could have the first night free. That offer was also confirmed by Carlos. When it was time to leave on the morning of 5/23/15 I saw that the bill was not changed & that we were expected to pay for service that we did not receive. I complained to Carlos who was working at the time and he said that the manager would be in at 11:00 a.m. I waited. Then Carlos said that the manager would not be in until 2:00 p.m. We had to leave. Carlos stated that my 1st night free was written in the "red book" & that I would receive a email confirmation of the correction. I never received an email.
All I want is the first night free (as I was told). I am also disappointed that I never met the manager & that statements made to me by Fairfield Inn staff have proven to be false.
I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with this experience and will be blogging...
Read moreWe've never stayed in one hotel for six nights straight, but we did just that at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Bartlesville, OK, and it could not have been a better experience! Clean, clean, clean--both our room and the public areas. We went barefoot in our room. We never go barefoot in a hotel room. The carpet looked like it could have been installed last week. Clean and new. We had a lovely, spacious room/suite whose layout I'd like to duplicate at home. The mattress, pillows, linens, sofa, accent pillows, furniture, décor . . . every detail was comfortable, tasteful, and attractive. The bathroom had lots of counter space, a great showerhead, a quiet flush :-), and inlaid tile floor. What hotel bathroom has an inlaid tile floor?? Amazing! Husband loved the heated indoor pool and swam every day were were here.
I'm sitting in the quality office chair at the ample desk typing this review wishing our time was not coming to an end tomorrow. The pleasant, hard-working staff led by Brittany, the GM, was courteous and accommodating, greeting us as we would come and go. A public water main break early in our stay that left the hotel without water and even closed schools in the area was communicated to each guest by a detailed explanation and apology-for-the-inconvenience notice slipped under each guest's door. Somehow, the staff managed to still serve their daily delicious breakfast--coffee and all. And there was no water. How?
I cannot say enough positives about our stay here. If we could give this hotel a higher than a 5-star rating, we would.
Blessings to the staff and management at Fairfield Inn & Suites in...
