Located in the Kroger strip mall, across from the Sonic on Hwy 70 in old Bartlett. It is my favorite Asian eatery near my home (meaning, still in Bartlett). They have the most flavorful food without it being excessively salty and the best customer service.
Dine In: It only has 5 booths and it is rare I see more than one or two occupied. They are all usually empty.
Take Out/Delivery: Most of their business appears to be take-out. They are fast and the food is fresh and hot; It is cooked to order. There are also 6 chairs so you can wait (I just walk around Kroger or go to Baskin Robbins). They also have a large cooler full of drinks.
The are flexible: They will adjust recipes as requested. Want more broccoli or onions? Leave out something? Less salt? Just ask.
The portions: Portions are large. The large fried rice is slightly less than Hunan Palace, but the fried rice is SO MUCH BETTER, the portion size is not an issue (Hunan Palace's food is SO SALTY we cannot eat it).
Customer Service: Great, very nice NOW but she used to be kinda mean and hateful. That same woman takes the orders and has a strong Asian accent but I can understand her very well both in-person and on the phone. If I can understand her, anyone can.
Wait time: Most of the time, food is ready in less than 15 minutes BUT since they are one of the busiest take-out and delivery places in Bartlett, the wait times during the busy hours can be painful. Other than pizza, I believe this is the only food delivery service in Bartlett.
Cleanliness: They appear to be very clean. (At Hunan Palace, their tables are sticky and utensils sometimes have food stuck to them).
Condiments: Free, including napkins and eating utensils. Just ask for what you need. (At Hunan Palace, they charge $0.20 per packet for duck and mustard sauce. No napkins nor eating utensils. If you ask, they get mad and refuse to give any til you fork over more $$$.)
I have tried all the Asian eating places in Bartlett. Asian Kitchen is one of the most distant from my house but I drive there because the food and service is so much better. They also have a better menu, including boneless spareribs. They also have the 21 medium shrimp for $6 with plenty of free cocktail sauce. They also have the best egg...
Read moreIt's such a struggle to find appetizing Chinese delivery. I tried this place due to the positive customer reviews on Door Dash, so I thought it best to balance the scales however possible by leaving a more accurate review. I was thoroughly disappointed with every item I ordered. The 69. Beef with Mushroom and 72. Pork with Mixed Vegetable came swimming in a slimy and sweet sauce. The 16. Egg Drop Soup couldn't even be poured out of the container due to its overly gelatinous consistency (perhaps better advertised as egg drop jelly?). The 4. Fried Pork Wonton was edible, but lacked the shape and crisp of any other wonton I've had. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanied the 4. Fried Pork Wonton had the look and taste of melted watermelon jolly ranchers.. very odd indeed. enjoyed the spice level of the 90. Mixed Vegetable yet it too came bathed in a completely unnecessary, goopy sauce. The 44. House Special Mei Fun reeked of old shrimp and I didn't even bother tasting the 27. House Special Fried Rice as it looked so unappetizing, or perhaps that was the combined weight of the prior disappointments influencing me to make the smart choice and just walk away. I'm not writing this for amusement or to be ugly, rather sharing my opinions candidly. Hope you can make some changes. If so, let me know and I'll give you another try. Otherwise,...
Read moreI had been a local fan of Asian Kitchen. I was such a frequent visitor that they would wave to me as I passed going Kroger. Today may have been a bad day, or I may have caught someone at a bad time. I placed an order by phone. The person who answered was rude. I gave my order and when I went to repeat it, I was told that they had it, and it was repeated very quickly. We discussed the price because I thought it was low for what I ordered. The person repeated the total very loudly and then would not address any other questions. When my order arrived, it was one meal short. I called back to state that my order was incomplete. The person who answered shouted that I got what I ordered. As I tried to state that was never given an opportunity to verify my order, I was told repeatedly and very loudly that I got what I ordered. I am extremely disappointed. As a loyal customer who had ordered online, by phone, and in person, I was shocked. At the present time, I DO NOT plan to order or buy from them again. I think I can find other places that will be willing to exercise patience and kindness and will gladly...
