Monica's Tacos — Restaurant in Bartow

The food is just okay, however I order from here frequently and most times they get my order right but recently it seems every other time I go they mess up my order and I have to go all the way back and have them re make it. I hate wasting food but when I pay for something I expect it to be down right the way I asked for it. They are very nice I just wish they would listen more when I order because I make sure to say my order several times every-time I order and it still continues to get messed up. I will not be coming here nearly as often because I am tired of waiting around to have my orders made twice. They still continue to mess up my order I will not be returning for quite some time! I have returned multiple times and yet they sadly still continue to mess up my order I’m very disappointed in Monica’s lack of listening skills when she literally reads my order back to me verbatim and she still manages to mess it up more than they get it right if I could give zero stars I would bc although this place is not bad their service is extremely inconsistent they load up your order on some days and others they barely give you anything...

Being from California and having camped frequently in Baja California, I have a particular attitude about what I want in Mexican food. Monica's fits the bill precisely. It's a small food cart with some tables and a canopy to shield you from the elements, be they Sun or rain. It is all very clean, and patronized by locals. When we arrived, there were 3 Latino gentlemen finishing up their meals. I asked what was good. All three responded, "Everything!" That's a good sign. The wife, our son and I all ordered tacos. They had various meats, but I had all Carnitas, 'cuz I'm a pork man. They came with a lime wedge, cilantro, tomatoes, jalapenos, fresh onions, grilled onions. PERFECTO! After we each finished our 3 tacos ( 3 each ) , we all agreed that we needed another. So we did. So good. We each had aguas frescas, horchata, piña, y sandía. We also bought some pork tamales for later that day. Those too were very good. The lady who took our orders was very friendly, an tolerant of my broken spanish. If we ever come back down to FLA, we will DEFINITELY go back...

I usually love eating here but today the girl taking our order was extremely rude. I asked her to get extra flautas instead of rice and beans and she asked how many more I wanted and I said how ever many more they would give me. For some reason this was a problem and she clearly didn’t understand so I got upset and said I would just take the rice and beans instead but on a separate plate and once again she raised her voice, said and I quote “but why when I can just put it on the same place.” At this point my parents are both very upset and start to ask the girl what the problem is and she responds by yelling at them. This was by far the worst experience ever. I don’t know why they have that girl taking orders because she gets an attitude so quickly for no reason and it is...
