The kids(teenagers) wanted to go out for a sweet treat so I googled desserts near me and found this place. We were super excited to see so much variety on the menu. The place was clean and the desserts were great. They were already picking what they wanted to try the next visit. I'm not a big reviewer but thought this place deserved one and I'm absolutely shocked to see so many negative and harsh reviews. As a business owner myself I feel I need to express my feelings. I have read every review. It looks like many were when they first opened and obviously it took a while for everyone to get in the groove. I'm sure it was chaotic and not all employees had enough training and practice to get everything right. I feel like Main complaints seemed to be rude employees, pricing and taste of cobbler and banana pudding. Employees- by getting an employee review it helps the owner have a better understanding of what's going on when they are not there and by reviewers stating what the problem is such as rudeness or not enough help etc will help the owner be able to discuss issues with the staff and make improvements. Pricing- honestly prices are going up. Just the facts. It's not always what we want to charge but what has to be charged to make any money. I felt prices were comparable to a restaurant dessert price but you have the novelty of just going out for dessert with a large selection of many things to try. I don't mind spending a little more occasionally for a trip out with the family. I felt the portions were absolutely sufficient for the price. Most could actually be shared. Taste- obviously everybody likes different taste textures etc. Not everybody's going to like the product but there are so many different things to try. Yes they need to get feedback as a whole on what people like or don't like so improvements can be made But what bothers me is so many people going one time and saying " I will not be back" people are just so unforgiving and lack any sort of tolerance to what might have happened at one visit. It looks like the owners have gotten feedback and know they obviously had an issue with employees and I'm sure are striving to take care of that. Prices are what they are and it might not be in everyone's budget. My suggestion for the cobbler and pudding would be to have taster spoons available and if someone doesn't like it they have options for many other desserts. Anyway I know this is a long post but overall we had a good experience all the way around we're looking forward to going back and trying some other things and I hope that everyone takes into consideration many of these reviews were from the beginning when they were still working out kinks I'm sure the owner has made improvements and I would recommend giving it a second try if you didn't have a good...
Read moreThe grand opening was amazing. I, along with my boyfriend and two family members, traveled from Tampa to Lakeland to support this new business endeavor and to show love and support to my dear friend, the owner. We were greeted with a line, but that was to be expected. While standing in the line, raffle tickets were given out, and I was the lucky winner. 😀 While standing in the line, there was much conversation about the new establishment and how happy the people of Lakeland were to have a dessert shop now. That made me smile to hear so many positive comments. The inside of the business was nice with simple decor. Balloons were around the "Get Peachy" grass wall, which added pizzazz. When it was our time to order, we ordered two dessert flights and three cobblers, peach, sweet potato pecan, and cinnamon peach praline. All the cobblers came with ice cream, and they all were delicious, according to the others that indulged with me. I was so excited that I forgot to use my gift card that I had received as one of the gifts from the raffle I had won.🤣 That gives me a reason to go back to try the other treats. I wish the business much...
Read moreWe ordered a blackberry cobbler to take home to share that evening. We had a very pleasant conversation with the friendly server. It wasn’t too busy so she was pleased to explain the entire menu and how the business all came about. Before we left, I was convinced to order their large Peach Cobbler. Mind you we had not tasted any of their wares. A week later we picked up the warm, tantalizing aromatic desert. It took all my strength not to dig into the tempting cobbler. After our dinner guests returned back to our home for coffee and dessert, many said they were too full. The ones who were not going to pass up the warm scent and tasting had everyone eating. It was one of the most satisfying entertaining evening enjoyed by myself and friends. Don’t get me wrong I’m no “ shrinking violet” when it comes to baking etc. Had my own small business of dessert catering. I was truly impressed and will definitely order from PEACH COBBLER FACTORY again, probably for our Super Bowl Party next month. One problem ????? What shall I...
