Showed up on a Saturday late afternoon with the wife. We enjoy trying new places and I have to say this possibly the worst experience I've ever had. Our first issue was the fact that when showed up nobody greeted us. After 2 minutes someone finally came out of the back and just stared at us. No greeting. Eventually I said I was eating in do I just grab a seat? Then he took our drink order... we were given cans. So I'm guessing refills weren't free....
We ordered our food and it came out absurdly fast. I usually expect a short wait, but not fast food fast. So I knew something was wrong. The rice tasted extremely old. The chicken, I ordered orange chicken was not spicy like advertised, and did not tast like chicken, or it was refried. Her food was just so bland. She had chicken friend rice. The egg rolls tasted like they had been sitting for a week and then cooked. It was a terrible experience. We ate maybe 4 bites and left. The crab Ragoon was decent but that's it. We paid and left.
I certainly do not enjoy 5-6 day old reheated food. Our stomachs are still upset we have hardly...
Read moreI walked in and ordered takeout: Black pepper chicken combo, small pork fried rice and large egg drop soup. They were pretty busy and had several orders ahead of me, and it only took 12 minutes from the time I ordered to have my bag in hand. About $15.00 - pretty standard. The facility was bright and clean, including the handicapped friendly men's room. Had a 10 minute drive home and I stopped at Circle K on the way. When I got home the food was piping hot and tasty. Fortune cookies and rice noodles were in the bag (been to other restaurants where I had to ask). Egg roll (my arch enemy) was crispy on the outside and the cabbage was cooked perfectly, though it was a bit on the smaller side. Everything else was par for the course and what you would expect from a well run American-Chinese restaurant. Nothing extraordinary but I'll...
Read moreLarge Crab Rangoon pieces with a generous amount of filling, and it's a generous portion (8). Egg roll was good. Gen Tso chicken sauce was delicious, not too hot; but the chicken was overcooked, dry. The picture shows broccoli with it, and other local restaurants include it, but there was none. There's $1 charge for extra sauce and you don't know until later when the bill is adjusted. 3 Almond cookies for 75 cents were good - sort of like a sugar cookie. You must ask for every little thing - and you might be charged. No complimentary sauce packets like soy. No complimentary fortune cookies, you can buy them for 40 cents. No forks, spoons, napkins. Packaged very well. Arrived north of warm but not hot.
