Pepe's Restaurant — Restaurant in Batavia Township

We usually love Pepes! They are a great chain of Mexican restaurants. However, I would not recommend this location. First of all, while eating our chips we requested plates and napkins multiple times and were never given any. We then ordered our food and sat for 45 minutes. Nobody checked on us. When we asked what was going on, the same waiter as before just came back with a notepad and took our orders again. We asked if the order had not been put in originally and he said he didn't know, then quickly walked away. Our food finally came after another 30 minutes and they got 1/2 of the orders wrong. I ordered stuffed shrimp quesadillas and was given plain shrimp tacos. My mom ordered stuffed beef quesadillas and was given plain tacos in a corn tortilla shell. The waiter dropped it all off and then walked away from the table so fast we just decided to try eating what we were given. However, the food was not seasoned and had wilted lettuce in it. The waiters never checked on us except to deliver our food, and never acknowledged their mistake. When we finally flagged someone down to get our bill, we told them we were given the wrong food and they still charged us full price for the incorrect dinners....barely even apologized just said they were busy. I would definitely not recommend spending your hard earned...

To begin, I’d like to say I rarely take the time to review a place. However, when a place is as awful as this, I feel the need to share it. First of all, I would’ve enjoyed the half off margaritas on leave with my family, but my military ID apparently isn’t “a valid form of ID for us.” Secondly I needed the margaritas to stomach the food. I would say enjoy, but I wouldn’t even serve my dog this food. The rice was dry. The chicken I ordered was pork, AND DRY!! And my queso was sliced AmErIcAn CHEESE!!! Would’ve loved to know all this before I paid $28.00 for 2 burritos. I can say the bathroom is clean and smelled better than my food. The service was slow and took almost an hour to get our food, only after waiting 30 for a menu. Finally, I would say that our servers were friendly, however I could hear them talking rudely about the topics we were discussing as a family. I would not recommend and would give 0 stars...

Was harassed by staff, or someone who stated he was owner. Went here for the first time ever with my daughter. We waited for quite a while for service, then noticed a other table just seated was offered water and greeting by staff. I waived him over and stated "could we get some water, we have been waiting". This staff (owner) then told me "dont be mad lady" I told him I am not mad, but disappointed with service. Unbelievably, throughout our entire time there, he continued to approach our table and kept saying "dont be mad lady", we are busy here. I asked him to stop, at one point told him, please just let us eat, we are hungry. Stop calling me "mad lady". I am your paying customer, give me some respect please. We ended up leaving without finishing the drinks we ordered, we were so uncomfortable being there. I would not recommend women go there on their own and verbalize any...
