The GOAT lives up to the name! I was excited to taste this new burger place that replaced Oak and Swine. I'm pleased to report that this restaurant delivers! The inside of the restaurant has pictures of famous athletes like Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan, the GOAT's of their respective sports, which is very apt for the restaurant's name and serves to enhance the atmosphere of the restaurant in general. But even better than the atmosphere was the food itself. I sank my teeth into my steak sandwich, and my party also enjoyed their dishes thoroughly. My sandwich was juicy and tender, and the fries were hot and crispy. Needless to say that I was in a food coma afterward! I'll definitely be back for more, trying other sandwiches and burgers that caught my eye!

Food: 5/5 Got the Pretzel Bites as an appetizier. Amazing start to the night. The queso paired perfectly with the pretzels. For the entree, I got the Black and Blue burger with no mushrooms. A little too much food for me personaply but I have a pretty weak stomach. Bartender: 6/5 Made the best rum and coke I've had and even catered it for someone who isn't as strong with alcohol like me so it didn't have that pure alcoholic taste. Staff: 5/5 Friendly, Fast, and Funny. Seating: 2/5 The only problem with the bar and rhis isn't 100% their fault is seating is way too close to other patrons. I didn't move much but I will still constantly afraid of bumping into the people behind me. If you sit at the bar, this isn't as bad of an issue.

Modern day Cheers vibe. We were visiting Batavia and a local recommended The GOAT…and I’m glad they did. This place was great! If you’re looking for higher end bar food, a good cocktail/variety of beers, this is your destination. We had the pretzel bites that had a nice soft core, but slight crunch on outside. My wife had The GOAT burger and that didn’t disappoint. I had the pork belly BLT. A little overcooked and a bit dry, but the flavor profile was right there. The downside is the size - if you’re a party greater than 4, you may need to get there early or expect a wait. We’d definitely be back when in town.

We've been to The Goat I'd say at least 30 times over the past two years (our daughter loves the classic smash). It's pretty consistent American fare and they'll usually make a killer Old Fashioned. However we have noticed some changes during our more recent visits which are disappointing, and after tonight's dinner my wife and I had to admit to ourselves that it's no longer the go-to local restaurant we'd come to love two years ago.

  1. Removal of the sausage-based items on the menu was a serious misstep. Perhaps this was an issue with a vendor, but bottom line is that sausage-topped burger with the pub mustard was far and away the best item on the menu, and to this day there hasn't been a new item/special that comes close.

  2. The rotation of specials is very hit or miss. That bruschetta burger with the fried mozzarella cheese block was very well executed and we haven't seen it since. This month...fish tacos and fish sandwich. This just seems a bit lazy if I'm honest.

  3. We noticed tonight there was an additional charge of $1.00 for a tomato slice on a burger...I get it's a buck, but still...we've never seen that before in all the times we've visited. It's a tomato slice--not bacon or avocado. We got a big laugh out of that.

  4. This last item is the most baffling...charging $15 for 6 wings is absolutely egregious (your servers think so too). Bump that back up to 8 wings for the price. Truly a shame, because the wings themselves are one of the top items on the menu. This needs to be fixed--we don't need a plate that's half wings and half celery.

It's my understanding ownership has recently opened a new restaurant. When I heard this, things started clicking. I would highly recommend putting focus back on The Goat in an effort to return it to its former glory. Otherwise you should change the restaurant's name and put up pictures of Lebron...

This place is absolutely one of the best restaurants not only in Batavia but in the area. My girlfriend and myself have been frequent customers on Thursdays.

First off, our server was Anna and she is fantastic. Always in a great mood and really pumps a positive atmosphere into the restaurant.

We have tried the memphis sausage board, mozzarella sticks, pretzels, and baos as appetizers which were all fenomenal. We are super picky eaters but choose to keep everything on the items because it fits really well together.

For our entrees we’d highlight, we have gotten the chorizo elote mac and cheese which is one of the best mac and cheeses I’ve ever had. For this particular dish, they use tortellini pasta which definitely enhances the flavor of the dish. Surprisingly, everything works really really well together and the flavor is perfect. Our other main go to entree is the classic smash meal. This burger rivals Au Cheval (extremely popular burger restaurant in Chicago) as one of the best burgers I’ve had. The smash patties are cooked perfectly, their garlic aioli is to die for, and the fries are seasoned perfectly and not starchy at all which shows they clearly wash the starch out of the precooked fries.

I am a restaurant general manager and a foodie, and this place is definitely worth a try. I have never left a review for any restaurant before, but this place deserves it. I can only speak on the dishes me and my girlfriend have had but wanted to share my opinion on a...

My boyfriend and I went on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. Nina was our bartender/server and she was awesome! She was really attentive and friendly (not to mention she has the COOLEST Tattoos) while not checking in excessively. We had an Old-Fashioned which was VERY well made, just a "smidge" on the sweet side for my personal taste, but I like my Old-Fashioneds NOT sweet at all so not specifying that was totally on me. I'm really just nitpicking though - I enjoyed the heck out of my drink and would rate it as one of the better Old-Fashioneds I've had in a while. My BF always gets some kind of Burger and has enjoyed all of them. I got the same thing as the last time I came here - The Chicken Gyro - it's REALLY good! So the drinks, food, and service are great. How about the atmosphere & ambiance? I love the decor (pretty and simple without feeling formal) & the vibe here. The light fixtures (sounds random but check it out for yourself ) are really cool. This place is worth...
