I will start with the greatness...yes, we will be back! Our waitress was super! She was so kind, cheerful and helpful. š Our food was SO good! My mom and I shared a plate of most delicious Pulled Pork Nachos- when i asked if it would be enough for 2 people she said,"oh yes! Enough for 3-4 people really." It was piled high with a ton of meat! And yes, we took what we couldn't eat, home with us. My Dad got the lasagna. He loved the salad and when the lasagna arrived it was piping hot. Dad said it was meaty and the marinara sauce was so good. He could only eat half of it so the rest also went home with us. š So, for the not so good....When we arrived, my older parents (Dad with a walker)and myself were greeted by a woman who didn't smile and we were welcomed with "How many?". Seeing that my Dad was using a walker she took us to a large booth across from a table of people, who respectfully, got up and pushed in their chairs, so my Dad could get thru. I looked and realized we would've had to step up on a ledge and slide across the seat (Know your customer). So, I knew that wasn't going to happen. When I asked her where was he to put his walker? And could we sit at a table she said, "oh!" and walked us back to a booth on the end, and asked, "how's this? He can put his walker behind the booth". I told her a table would be better. So she sat us at a table beside a couple who ALSO used a walker that easily fit between the two tables. By this time the "hostess" didn't seem to happy with us. She sat our dripping wet menus down and walked away. I understand she could've been having a rough day, but have a little compassion and be grateful and kind. Appreciate the fact that you can walk and not have to worry about steps or scooching your behind across a long seat. If your guest is handicapped ask if a booth or table works best. And if they say table, don't say, how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe don't eat out very often and I can say for certain the next time we do, it won't be at Beer Barrel! On Sept 17th we ordered food. Pizza, wings, and a salad for carryout. After picking up the order and driving 20 min home, I discovered my Apple Walnut & Bleu Cheese salad was missing. Now, no biggie, it happens. So I called them and the girl who had taken my order immediately said... "I was just getting ready to call you" now, I didn't feel like driving another 20 min there and back so she said she would write it in their book and next time I order just let them know and I can get my salad that they OWE me. Well, today Oct 16th (I know it's month later, but like I said we don't order out often) I called to order us food and when I told them about the missing salad, I was told they have no record of a missing salad under my name. Really?!? So, we spent $70 plus dollars and they forgot to put my salad in the bag, told me they would make record of it for my next order and when I go to make another order there is no record. That's poor business to me and we will not be "doing it Beer Barrel...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell at the restaurant we received mediocre service the waitress barely came to check on us or fill our drinks we had to ask for straws for our drinks because she forgot to give them to us and when we got our food my husband had ordered mashed potatoes with gravy the gravy was old and starting to dry and coagulate on top the mashed potatoes were very stiff and hard, The ribs that he got were great nothing was wrong with them and they were falling off the bone. Our appetizers came out hot and fresh so I do appreciate that as well, I ordered a pizza and I could not finish it all while I was there so I took some home well eating it at home I found a piece of hair baked into my pizza crust and while we were at the restaurant I noticed that the pizza did not have very much sauce on the bottom of the crust it was all on the edges of the pizza overall not saying that everything was bad but I donāt know if I would return to this specific location because there is other locations available that I have had better...
