Walgreens — Local services in Perry Township

If I could rate lower I would. My husband's doctor increased his medication today, which overrides when the previous prescription was sent. We do not get paper ptescriptions; the doctors send straight from their office. HOLLY at walgreens o harding would not fill it at 4:50pm because she wanted verification that the doctor authorized it. If the doctor hadn't authorized it, she wouldn't have prescribed it or she would have put a date to dispense. I spoke with my insurance agent and she said the prescription went through the insurance and was under $3. I am livid. I am tired of pharmacists determining when they want to play god with our lives, blood pressure and anxiety. DO NOT GO TO HOLLY. No humanity. My husband just had surgery onhis crushed wrist and im doing all the running and now she wants to decide when I can get prescriptions that are necessary? Get off your high horse. Just want to say that which ever pharmacist or pharmacy technician that closed 5/19/21 went incredibly above and beyond and I hope they know it did not go unnoticed. I walked in to pick up my wife’s Rx and quickly realized I caught this person on their way out as one window was closed and they had their backpack on. Without missing a beat this person asked if I needed anything and looked up the Rx I was looking for...discovered it was not ready and asked if we needed it. I explained the situation and this person did not just put it in the system but filled it right there on the spot! I would have been happy picking it up tomorrow but am extremely grateful for this act of kindness without a semblance of annoyance. To whomever you are; I hope this review finds you and reminds you that you are appreciated in a profession that I’m sure is as undervalued as the rest of the health...

This company is a joke. I called today to have two prescriptions refilled that are in stock and not new prescriptions and was told that they would be ready in 2 days. I questioned the girl who answered the phone if this was new policy and was told it was. Tell me on what planet you go to a pharmacy to get a prescription and they tell you it won't be ready for 2 days for no reason besides they just don't bother to do that anymore unless you ask for them to override the system. It's amazing how companies get away with providing barely even functional service and because rite aid has gone out in town they could not care less if their policies fit in line with their customers. I'm just about entirely sick of dealing with companies that treat us like crap because they have monopolies and the only choice we have is to deal with even worse companies. What kind of choice is that?!...
