Empire Wingz II — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Just picked up 20 wings and fries. I had to go with a few different sauces so I could get a taste of everything. Let’s start with the employees... the lady that was taking the orders was nice and the guys cooking/preparing the food seemed to be very on task and doing a solid job. My order came out exactly how I ordered it, which is always a plus. The fries weren’t anything special, but they definitely weren’t bad. The wings weren’t huge, but they were some pretty solid sized wings. I tried the garlic parmesan, spicy lemon pepper, sweet heat, and spicy bbq sauces. All of these sauces were good, but the spicy versions of the regular sauces just seemed like they mixed some hot sauce in. It seemed to overpower the actual flavor, but they were still good. This was probably my only complaint, but it could just be my preference. The wings had the perfect amount of kick without burning my mouth, but they do have a danger sauce I’d like to give a try. My favorite part of the experience was that perfect crisp on the outside of the wing that many wing places can’t seem to do. Also, the wings were tossed in the perfect amount of sauce instead of just kinda slathered on as I’ve seen at other places. Absolutley recommend this place and I will definitely be back. Some things are just unbelievable. I drive all the way to this location due to the one on Sherwood being closed. They take my order then tell me something is wrong with the wifi and they can't take a card. I waited 15 minutes while they tried to fix the issue, and was then asked to go get cash....... the wings were already $6 more then the other location for some reason, so I go get the cash at an ATM, spend more money for the transaction fee, get back to the place and still had to wait, all I got was an I'm sorry, not even a discount or an extra drink for supporting their business, and I didn't even want this to eat, smh. 1st...

Deleted my old 5 star review. It isn't the same anymore. More expensive, longer waits (was already long), and my order has been incorrect 3 of my last 5 visits. One day I ordered a 8 piece traditional. I came home and opened my box to 6 drums. I prefer flats, so this was very disappointing. AND it was missing 2 wings. Waaaaaay too expensive to mess up an order and wait over 30 mins outside for these experiences. I will only stop for the VJ fries moving forward, which I will have to check before leaving because they gave me plain fries after...
